I'm in really big pains. I'm wondering which lens should I buy next.
I got 50-135 and I like the quality. So I'm looking for DA*.
It seems I'll decide between 55mm and 16-50mm.
This thread didn't help 'cause I was leaning towards 55mm =D

35mm f2.8. The boke is not the smoothest one but that's the only thing I dare to complain. |

So the experiences varies quite a lot.
I'm wondering how is the af compared to 16-45mm?
I shot 3 months only with 50-135mm and got used to it pretty well. Then 16-45mm came from service and I almost got heart attack.. It's like superfast compared to 50-135mm. So how is it with 16-50mm?

I agree :D
Everything will be ok with sealed lenses. I just came from a trekking trip and K20 with 50-135mm was hanging a whole week on my neck. No wind, rain or cold could harm it. So, as somebody might say: don't go swimming with overalls.

Hey guys, what happened to this lens?
First there was the hype and now when it's here nobody talks about it.

There must be some good reason to update current 10-20mm. I assume better IQ. That's good enough reason to me to sell the f4-5.6 and buy the f3.5.

Yes, I've seen them too in many shops but Bigma with HSM for Pentax doesn't exist.

Hey, i've been there. My friend asked me to shoot his brother's weddings because i had a good camera (400D) and experience (6 months) =D=D I don't want to remember that day. Oh and kit lens!
Even though the pics weren't too good I will do it again. It's really fun but you really got to have some good lenses and flashes.

There's one thing what I like more in 48 than 58. When in M-mode I have to press Parallel-button before I can change the power. In 48 there is +/- buttons and I can change the power straight away.
How is it with Pentax flashes?
It's not a really big problem but annoying thing anyways.

Bigger and better viewfinder. That's all. K20 is awesome!
And if the sensor must be changed then APS-H.

I really hope Art Vandelay is correct. I just bought K20 and now I'm thinking if I should chance back to Nikon. I'll wait for a next big news and decide after that.

It's always a good thing when a new lens hits the market. If there is a competition there is a results.
Nowdays we see all the times better and better zooms. A primes has they place but usually when a shot is fired it was taken with zoom. So, I'm glad they products those and even a bad ones.
Few years later we'll see some amazing constant aperture f1.8 zooms. Like the one in Olympus. That f2 normalzoom.
I'm not buying this Tokina because I prefer constant apertures but it's still good to have that kind of zooms too.

Thanks, for the answer. I'm new in Pentax and I'm just building my arsenal. I'm now leaning towards 10-20mm and 35mm. I really like to get one good copy of 16-50mm but I think you're right, it might be little frustrating try to get one and I'm also ordering from another country. So, I'm now pretty convinced I should get those two and not try my luck.
But hey I need one more shout to the 35mm because also Sigma's 18-50 f2.8 might be possibility.

Sorry, about squeezing here but I need advices too.
I have a little bit different setup. Sigma 10-20mm and 35mm f2 to DA*16-50mm? Is it worth it? I know this one is really hard one and depends on preferred style. What's your choice?

I've tried to order some more stuff from Britain but it seems everywhere almost everything is sold out. It's hard to get what you want. I know plenty of people who ordered from Britain to Finland and I think so did people from any part of Europe.

I agree. I was lucky and ordered K20 and couple lenses at the moment when pound was in a ditch. I saved 700 euros. Not bad. Even though I didn't get the cashback.
The cuurency is not too bad right now either. But be fast.
