I'm a big fan of this on a film body - it's a really nice lens.

I got a copy of the lens at christmas and have been very impressed with it.

It's nice for detail shots:

It also handles low-contrast misty days well:

I picked up a couple of 120 folders before Christmas with the thought that possibly only one would work and if not, probably only one of them would be particularly good. My insurance one was an Agiflex Agifold. It was made in Croyden, has a non-coupled rangefinder and a 75mm lens. It also turns out to be very sharp and lovely to use!

Film was HP5+, developed in 1+50 Rodinal and dried in my whizzy own-design film dryer for dust-free negs :)

The lens won't lock because of the extra long shield for the aperture lever (the black bit on the rear of the lens). If you remove the 2 screws holding this on, then you can use a dremel tool or a file to make the shield shorter (about 5mm is enough) and then it will fit fine. Remember to tidy up and short bits of metal after filing it and put some black paint on the shiny metal to remove a source of reflections. And definitely remove the shield before working on it or you could damage the lens with your tools or the metal filings produced when cutting it down!

I cleaned up a 45mm lens from some very light fungus and brought it with me on a trip to Wales last week. I think it worked out well...

They also complained about the lack of live-view. But without knowing the sensor architecture, it could well be that liveview is impossible for this type of sensor. Seems a bit unfair to mark a camera down for something that's just a wishlist item for the reviewer. I'd like my pentax to dispense seasonal drinks on demand, but I'm hardly going to knock marks off a review because it doesn't.

I've had success with the Tamron 23a (60-300mm) that is similar dimensions. I followed the approach given here.

How did you check the actuations? If it's just from file names, then that doesn't mean anything - if they tested it with a SD card that had a higher file number on it then the camera will "take over" the file numbers from there (I found this out when swapping cards between my k20d and my dad's k100). However, you can check using an exif viewer such as PhotoMe, since the camera's true number of shutter actuations is given there. Sorry if this is all info you already know, but the filename misunderstanding is somewhat common.
