agree it is too expensive.
otherwise it seems winning a small edge in most aspects
My pocket is often big enough for it though :) ---------- Post added 02-29-2016 at 11:59 AM ----------
cannot agree more ---------- Post added 02-29-2016 at 12:07 PM ----------
Agree most difference are minor, but there are big things more than ergonomics:
flip screen - big difference, some ppl might care, I don't use it anyway
better jpg engine - I don't like b&w, this is a big plus for me
better focusing - everyone needs it to be better
too expensive - this is the biggest caveat, otherwise I might have pulled the trigger already. Does not make any sense at this price tag, especically considering how much it only takes for a Coolpix A now. :p

at least following. everyone has different needs, just my own personal opinion:
better focus capability - on paper, x70 has much better focus. Some people might say GR is fast enough. That doesn't mean it does not need to be improved.
shutter speed - x70 has a very fast electric shutter speed
JPEG engine improvement - this is pretty subjective. Some people might say GR is already good enough. But it does not mean it cannot have more customized (or preset) options, to fit more people's needs.
better wireless connectivity

Getting a pocket camera. Looks like both has its own strength, while x70 is probably more favorable at this stage (unless there can be some good firmware update for GR soon).
Anybody by any chance already own both? thoughts or comments?

hmmm... indeed tempting ...
my use would be mostly landspace as well, though not sure how much a F2.8 would be useful to me

:hmm: this comment can be applied to anything, apparently people are looking for something that last for reasonable amount of time, not like some 16-50 fails in a few years ---------- Post added 05-15-2015 at 10:57 AM ----------
yes, 20-40 does not have sdm.
I wouldn't consider 20-40 at all if there is no SDM issue on 16-50, because I do need that extra range more.

thinking of getting a 16-50 or 20-40. SDM failure the biggest fear ... Hope the issue has been fixed?
Any chance we can start another poll in the forum regarding recent purchased lens?

What lens do you have right? If you don't have a big collection of pentax lens, then I would say D610 is first choice

I was thinking exactly the same way in the beginning.
But sigma did release 35mm/1.4 with PK mount. That made me completely confused.... why would we need a FF lens while there is no actually FF body available, and ironically the crop sensor alternative is cancelled
just totally does not make any sense with those sigma guys :asleep:

Is this one with sigma's new coating or the old coating (I mean the lens body)?

Thinking of upgrading to K3, but the review comment on high ISO does concern me.
so bottom line, does K3's high ISO as good as K5 IIs?
Anyone just upgrade from IIs comment on this?

I wonder how good (i.e. fast/accuracy) comparing to 5D markIII
almost jumped to 5d III a few months ago, but decided to wait to see k3 for a bit more time

didn't use for a few month, last month when I took it out, it needs a few minutes to wake up ...
and then today, it totally doesn't work...
I am really unhappy for a $1000 purchase like this. Had it brand new for only 1.5 years and I barely used it
really unhappy. I was thinking of getting a K-3, but now all of sudden I am not sure whether I should stick with RP
Does anyone know whether sending back for service solve the problem? Or the issue comes back soon even after serviced?
