When I take a picture the shutter opens and closes very slow.
Not sure how to tell how many actuations it has but am sure there is no ways near that many.
Also not sure what mirror lock up is.

I have a K100D and lately the shutter has been very slow. I have the most up to date firmware, fresh batteries and I can not figure out what is causing it. Any help would be great.

Hello all I'm Steve from MA.
I have had a Pentax K100D for about a year and a 1/2. For the most part I love it though I have been having a few issues lately so hopefully I will find some answers on this forum. When I get some time off from work I will post some of the pics I took on the cruise I took in the spring. I was expeirementing with the macro feature for the 1st time and got some great pics.

I have had a K100D for about a year and a 1/2. Starting about 2 weeks ago, when I take a picture the shutter stays open to long. I have not made any changes to any settings so I do not know why this is happening. I thought it might be a battery issue. I use rechargeable batteries so I put in a fresh set of non rechargeable batteries and I still have the same issue.
Does anyone have any idea's what might be causing this?
