new tests, strange results... a friend borrow me a manual metz flash. i test it on camera and ... wow ! the flash trigger at first try.
Then i test again my flash and no luck. i short circuit the flash with a wire and the flash trigger. Then, What happen ? perhaps, is the signal of the camera too fast/short for the flash ?

I'm trying go to my local camera shop and they haven't any flash for pttl pentax. t test a manual (one pin) flash in shop but my camera no trigger it. can anybody with pentax ist DL use a manual flash ?, i'm worry in a possible camera failure now.

i look for voltage in Photo Strobe Trigger Voltages and the Miranda 630CD is 8.14-8.30V. i think that this voltage range is safe.
I check to short circuit flash pin and string and the flash trigger. But the cammera don't trigger it. any idea to check if i've got a problem with the cammera ?

i'm trying to trigger an old "non-dedicated" flash but i can't get the camera trigger it.
Can the ist dl trigger manual flashes? how can i get it ?
