I love fuji. Right now I'm trying the "minimalist" thing. I only have the X-E1 & the 23/1.4 as my only lens and its working great. I'm thinking that a 12/2 Samyang, 23/1.4 & 56/1.2 trio would make me VERY happy :)
btw if anyone is interested in trying out some Konica Hexanons on their Fuji, check this auction out

I'll probably be switching to a x-e2 and fuji lenses. they are everything what I like about pentax (good and small) and more (fast). i want the x-t1, but the value of their cameras drops very fast so ill just pick up a used x-e2 and get the x-t1 next year for a lot less

actually, if they'd rebadge the old tamron but with seals and faster focusing, it would be a home run lens

16-55 and 50-140 2.8 are on the road map. personally, I could live with a 10/2.8 touit and a 23/1.4 but the prices are just crazy. i'd need 4k $ for those 2 lenses and this camera. :(

again, its not about the fog here, its about climbing chalk thats in the air and on my hands. I cant remove it, unless I wash my hands everytime I grab a camera, and still the wash does not get rid of the particles in the air. This is especially true in small climbing gyms where you feel like you're breathing in magnesium all the time :D Its not bad for the lungs, but its not good inside of lenses :D
tnx!

fact is, when I use my DA* 16-50, I dont have to worry about dust particles entering the zoom. Thats one of the reasons I'm still not sure will I be buying the Sigma 18-35

PENTAX : PENTAX Photo Gallery artist page
last picture in my gallery was taken in freezing conditions where the air (and my hands) were full of chalk (magnesium powder). This of course got on the camera, but not IN, because of the seals

I dont. Thats why I use a Pentax with a WR lens. I just wash my k5 & my DA* 16-50 with tap water and its pretty again :) That is the sole reason why I do not want to use a Tamron, Sigma or anything else on my camera (with plastic bags :) )

what about moisture and dust? For example, I like to go climbing and the air is always full of magnesium dust, which is also on my hands all the time.

the new versions weight and size defeats a purpose of having a 50-150 instead of a 70-200 lens. its huge and heavy
I once borrowed the 50-135 to shoot animals in the ZOO. It was too slow to track rabbits hopping. when it succeded, the image was GREAT, but its too god damn slow.

you can find a k30 for 400 bucks and I found a F 50 1.7 for 100$. now that is a GREAT starting kit.
pick up a used 18-55wr and a sigma 75-200 f3.8 AF or a pentax 55-300 and you have practically everything covered.

I'll replace my DA*15-50 with it and the DA 15 IF it provides good flare resistance. my DA* is a big miss for that type of situation

I'm very interested in its performace. What I'm interested most is the flare control. Its really bad on my DA* 16-50 and I'm considering trading it for a DA 15 and this zoom.

when Sigma puts out 3 good and affordable primes (wide, normal, and short tele), I'll be all over the A7. Until then, they are too rich for my blood

this intrigues me a lot. Its a small FF camera. What I do not like, and why I am not going to sell my pentax gear is the lack of affordable lenses. 1000+ $ for a 55mm 1.8? come on! waiting for sigma to jump in and give me some cheaper alternatives :)
