Hi Adam,
I don't see anything at the bottom of the screen that lets me change skins. The issue is how the website routes users based on their browser identity. When I come to the home page, I see the full site. The moment I click on forums I am taken to the mobile version with no way to change to the full version (that I can see). My browser is being identified as mobile because it is Android (not Android Phone), which means I have to go through the "about:debug" mode and change the browser UAString to show as "desktop". The problem that Android tablet users have is that they need to go through the first part of the debug process every time they close and re-open the browser in order to see the full site. I'm happy to work around it, but I thought I would bring it to your attention as more and more visitors will be on Android tablets in the coming months.

Thanks for responding.
I'm aware of the ways to work around the issue, but there are many Android users who are not. I'm hoping that Adam might see the value in changing the code so that everyone can enjoy this amazing website without having to download a new web browser or go through the debug process.

Pentax forums default to the mobile version when viewed on an Android tablet with the stock browser. Devices that identify themselves as android phones should probably get the mobile version, but devices that identify themselves as Android are actually tablets and should get the full version of the site.
Would it be possible to fix this?

I always use live view for macro on my K20. Have you tried zooming the screen? Although the image on the LCD gets quite grainy, I find it helps my focus. I tested a K7 and found the screen resolution to be amazing when zoomed in.

They would be able to absorb pentax easily enough. We might even start to see an improved product cycle. It would be a good fit, period. They could give a kit lens away with each body for a while, but the lens wouldn't stayfree forever.
Sorry

I have seen more JVC video camera ads on TV than I have for any other brand. Maybe being bought by a company that believes in advertising would be a good thing.

Hello everyone!
Since a number of you have visited the site, I thought I'd let you know that a new video for "Empty Vessel" is available. The final version of the song is also there, so please downlad and replace.
As always, feedback is welcome.

If by Kat, you mean short for Katherine, then I would request that the full name be used in this thread so as to not scare or offend anyone here.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm heading off to sniff around in the cheese sandwich thread.

I just checked mine and it does the same thing. It sounds like a piece of metal or hard plastic slliding inside the lens when I move it around. Looks like it's normal.
Stop shaking it!

PM me.
I don't have a K-7, but if you send me a short clip of what you have, I'll try it on my system (Premiere Pro CS4 Windows). I bet we can make it work.

Check this Sony out. Sony HVR-HD1000U HDV Camcorder Pro Camcorders HDV10 - Vistek Canada Product Detail
It's a lot of camera for the money. It may not have a pro lens or incredible low light performance, but it's a joy to use due to the shoulder mount.
It has a 1/3 CMOS sensor and a focal range of 40mm - 400mm (a little wider than most).
I don't know if it matters to you or not, but it looks completely professional which can make a big difference when you're the "official" videographer. Guests with camcorders will get out of your way. The large size might also be an inconvenience for you though.

Are we limited to discussing video that is related to Pentax, or may we talk about video production in general?

That's cool.
Can you try to rig the camera up with some food for the fish? You might get some really good close-ups that way.

I can't speak for the U.S., but in Canada we already pay for our usage. It's called gasoline tax.

My initial response with my (now) wife in the car, was of a humerous recounting of a moment of forgetfulness, but can you imagine living with the thought, that being caught up in the world around you ended with the death of a loved one?
We all make foolish and selfish mistakes, because we choose to forget that this life is not really about us.
I feel for anyone who has to live through something like this... If only they could take the moment back...

It's incredible how often it happens.
I used to drive a two door car and one day my (future) wife was in the back seat. When we got to the destination, I got out and shut the door. When I turned around, the look on her face was priceless, and in 15 years, she's never let me forget it!
