Hi All,
I have looked for this info quite a bit of late and found nothing specific to the k100 and it's RAW files, so here is my question/s:
Does the k100dS apply the Dark Frame noise reduction to it's RAW files as it does it's jpegs?
If not, is the info stored with the file and applied by photobrowser/Lab when you extract a jpeg from the raw?
I ask because I was doing some >15 sec exposures last week, and the NR was one (and the dark frames were being shot) but the images were quite noisy compared to what I would expect (from comparable exposures when shooting in JPEG). When i just did a simple extraqct JPEG in photo browser, the noise was still there.
If the RAW and the photoLab doesn't use the NR frames, should I just turn it off to save time when shooting in RAW?
