Hello friends, this my new 16-50 repaired, i would an your opinion about if this is accettaple for 16-60 or not: the right side appears slighty soften in some images:
on tripod, sr disaled: image 1, 43mm f5 image 2, 43mm f4 image 3 36mm f4 (perfect) image 4 36mm f4 image 5 50mm f5.6
free hand:
image 1 22mm f3.5 (looks perfect) image 2 24mm f3.5 (soft on the right)
Any images are soft on the righ, others perfetc in a casual way.
This appears strange to me, the problem is only at infinite focus.
But probably is only my impression.
What do you think? Is accettable for a 16-50?
ps.: location south Italy.

In my case is a camera fault.
The problem on mine was real.
Not always occur, but often. Even when the machine is on professional tripod (Manfrotto 055proB). I'm Photographer for 10 years and have never had a similar problem. I send back K-7 in warranty and never solved the problem.
I hope that this problem is solved in K-5.

Dear pentaxians, I'm very undecided between this 2 limited lenses. Is the 35mm worse than 40mm in non macro situations?
Let me know in portraits and landscapes how does the 35mm compared to 40mm.
Best reards.
Massimo.

hello pentaxians...
I was in my photographic store any days ago to look a 055cxpro3 (3 sections) and an 055cxpro4 (4 sections). The vendor was recommending a 4 section tripod and he said that with with carbon models the old rule of 3 section vs. 4 section tripods was no longer true.
Is it really true?!?!!?
Best regards

Dear pentaxians...
I noticed that the Pentax has released simple DA lenses weather resistant (18-55 WR, 50-200 WR).
Now, i would to know if anyone know if Pentax has plans to produce the DA Limited series in WR format.

Thanks for you response James.
to me interest that the body of my K10 remains totally sealed. So the 17-70
is a good choice for my purposes.
Do you know also others DA lens partially sealed?
Best regards

Dear friends, first of all my compliments for this splendid forum. Here Massimo from Latina, Italy.
I have a question:
I want to know if DA 17-70 is weather sealind or "partial" weather sealing:
for example, I have read that the lens has the seal on the bayonet and then the sealing of the srl body is kept.
Is it true?
Best regards.
Massimo Lucio.
