What software do you guy's use to manipulate your pic on the computer. The new 20D software package takes a ton of memory. I think 1 gig just for the software(i don't have the exact number with me), let alone the touched up pic's.
Is the Pentax software that much more powerful and useful or is one of the other type's just as good?
Thanks for your input

ok!! I got the new K20d camera as and early christmas present.
The kit lens is listed as F3.5-5.6 (as the aperture???). When I adjust that number using the rear wheel knob I can only get the number down to 5.6. I can also get the number up into the 30's which takes severel seconds to stop.
I know this number has occasionally gone down to 4.0 but don't know why or how to get it down to 3.5. I'd like to take the family christmas pic's of the kid's and the quick shutter speed is critical.
How do I get it down?
Thanks for the great info you guy's have been sharing freely with me.

I got a great christmas present!! K20D
Now I am excited to spend my own money on a good lens.
What are some lenses you use for wildlife; most of the pic's will be big game species in colo of course. Some will be in low light. Deer, Elk, Turkey are some good examples of the species i have photographed.
I can spend up to around 500.00. I saw the DA18-250 but the review's say their is some issues at the furthest reaches.
What other brands do you guy's use?
Thanks for your input:D

huge upgrade for Christmas
Got the K20d with the kit lens.
I had an ancient k1000 that was used often back in the day. Kids and Life stopped me from taking pic's.
Glad I kept it around I have:
2x converter
Smc pentax-a 1:2 50mm
Auto zoom 1:4.0-5.6 f=70-210. It say's macro on the body but I don't remember the details.
I can't wait to get busy learning the intimate details of the camera.
Hope to learn lots
