Hey gang I have had a K200 that I have had a while and mostly was a auto guy but in the last year or so I started playing around with all those buttons :eek: Then just recently I bought a 35/2.4 lens and I have been playing with the buttons even more and I think I have a very general understanding of what they do. This leads into my question. When you guys are shooting in a changing enviroment that can be quicker paced do you shoot auto or do still shoot manual. I ask this because I mostly take pics of my kids and we are going to Disney next week and you can get in all kinds of areas for pics there. I dont know all those buttons well enough to just set them and take pics I have to take a pic then see how it turned out make a change take another pic and so on but in Disnney I usually wont get that kind of time but it does seem some times that manual takes better pics. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated!:)

Normally I wouldnt post a pic in someone elses thread but this seemed fitting here.
Here is some rabbits I smoked a couple of weeks ago given to me by my buddies brother whos raises them and I will tell you they were very good!

I was one also. I ordered only the 35 on the 13th at 6ish in the evening. And if you read the orginal thread you will see I got several different stories from them each time I called. So finally after the 3rd different story from them on Tuesday I cancelled my ordered and ordered from B&H and then the next day I got the cancellation email that it seems everyone got. I am wondering if you possibly got one of the few that was in stock and when the rest of us ordered it was out of stock and that is when the troubles started?? I dunno just a thought. Let us know when you get it!

Well I called today for the 3rd time and I was told a different story each time. I was ordering the 35mm-2.4 Last friday I was told they expected a delivery of 20 lens of which they had a BO for 23 of them this wednesday I should call back on thursday and see what they had. I called yesterday when my order staus changed to "process" I was told they got in a shipment on friday and it would take 24 to 48 hours for the warehouse to process the data and get ready to ship them out. When I called today after my order staus went back to BO I was told everything was on BO and I should expect a 2-3 weeks wait. I explained the previous 2 phone calls and what I was told and she said I see in your call notes that each time I called I was told the same thing I should expect a 2-3 week wait. I said no no no and she said I am only repeating what was recorded in your notes. At that point I cancelled the order and told her what I thought of their operation.
I then called B&H and ordered the same lens for 32.00 more but in a matter of minutes I had a tracking number and expect delivery next monday or tuesday! I have learned my lesson. Good luck to the rest of you!!

My order has said that since Friday and my pending charge went away also. It has not charged it just the pending charged went away. So we wait.......

OK last night when I cut and pasted my order number into their customer care page it told me my order was on back order and when I called I had a Terrance tell me it was back ordered. Tonight I cut and paste my order number and my order staus says: Order Status: Reg Ord ready proces So I am not sure what changed if anything yet stay tuned! Also this is for a 35mm

OK I just called and talked to a Terrence and he told me that 35mm were on backorder and that they have been on BO for 3 weeks so when I placed my order the web site stated that they were on BO. I said no it didnt say that and he got a little huffy with me and said I am not going to argue this with you. But he did tell me they had 23 orders on BO and they were due 20 lens in next wednesday. I should call back next thursday and check on the status of my order. I would get a confirmation email and then my card would be charged when it was shipped. He warmed up a little before the call was over and he didnt tell me I wasnt going to get it, but it makes me wonder if I should cancel this order and pay $30.00 and buy it from B&H. We leave for vacation in less then a month......

It seems like most of the troubles are with the people that bought the 50mm lens is that true?? I bought the 35 on the 13th and my CC still says pending and I have n0no kind of emails saying anything?? Any other 35mm buyers hearing anything??

Hey gang I have had a K200 for several years and I enjoy taking pics LOL I am just not that good:o My theory has alway been if you take enough pics you are bound to get a good one ;) Well I have had the itch for a new lens I currently have the kit lens and a telephoto lens. I mostly shoot my kids both indoors and outdoors (our 8th trip to Disney is coming up) and I love macro shooting. All that said I am thinking a prime lens. At first I was thinking a DA 50mm f/1.8 but after reading it sounds like its not the best choice for indoors (to much zoom) so then I found a 35mm DA L F2.4 AL Lens but the first seems better for low light which I seem to encounter often. I know I should buy both but for now my budget allows one. Sooooo all this being said what do you experts think something totally different??? My budget is 300ish. Thanks for any pity you can take on me:D
