I got a K100 two years ago and it's a great camera. One of the reasons why I went out and got a k100 was because you can use standard batteries in it.

I've been using Energizer 2500 mah batteries in my k100d for over two years and don't seem to get any trouble. You can now get more powerful batteries rated at 2700mah. I take between five to ten photos most weekends. But I sometimes find that the colder weather kills the life on my batteries. But I always keep a spare set in my bag.

Hi all thank you for all the help. But I still can't remove the dust or object on the sensor. I've found a camera shop in Uckfield that can remove it and also clean the inside of the camera for £30.00. It seems the best thing to do. I don't want to damage the sensor by cleaning it my self.
Thanks

Hello all I’m new to this forum so I may of put my question in the wrong place. Please can someone give me some advice about my k100? I’ve been using my camera for about two years now and have noticed that when I view my photos now I seem to have a spot on the image. I’ve cleaned the lens front and back and have also changed then lens over with another lens. But I still get a small spot in the image. Have I got some dust on the sensor and how can I remove the dust. I've also posted a photo with the spot on the image. The spot is on the right hand side of the photo just above the jet stream.
Thanks Lee
