The Zeiss M42 covers some DDR lenses being the Carl Zeiss Jena made lenses but ignores manufacturers like Meyer Optik and Isco Gottingen also based in the general vicinity of Dresden.
Personally I wouldn't be too fussed if the other DDR lenses were posted in either thread.
As to who made the better lenses, well gems come both areas as do the occasional pieces of junk..

Carl Zeiss T* ZK mounts (Distagon, Planar, Makro-Planar)

My ZK lenses are the 18mm f3.5, 25mm f2.8, 50mm f1.4 and the 85mm f1.4. The first purchased was the 50mm f1.4 which left me most impressed so I decided on adding the rest. Eventually I'll add the 35mm f2.
As for the Leitax path, well I was more then a little underwhelmed with both a 50 F1.4 and a 90 F2.8 to both bother in future.

@ approx 9-10 grand, I think a FF Pentax body would be a bit more affordable then a 645N plus focal reducer.

The Volna 9 has the reputation of being the better Soviet macro lens.

The Volna 9 50mm f2.8 is a Soviet macro lens @ 1:2 macro ratio. I think the Industar 61 might also be the same.

One of the Hong Kong Ebay sellers also has it listed for aud $999 which as a rough conversion might be a touch cheaper then that EU listing even with import duties added.

Well advice I've had from the local distributor is that the TS will or is available in PK mount.

Any 24mm Tilt shift owners in the house? The LBA bug has bitten and the TS is the only way to satisfy the bug assuming the price is reasonable, like some change from a grand.

Mecrox, yep it's a Jack Russell and belongs to one of the neighbours. I've managed to find a few four legged models around the neighbourhood, the local cats expecting a bit of a pat and scratch behind the ears before they'll pose for pics.
