It would be curious if they claimed anything else as that's what they sell. ;)

SDM = branding
DC = branding
PZD = branding
USM = branding
Just because something is called SDM doesn't mean it's not the same motor that is called PZD when sold by Tamron.

Well, Sony manages to build an FF with sensor shift shake reduction so Pentax should be capable of the same thing.

Seems to me that the 50-135 actually is quite popular… at least if you can afford it. ;)

Hope it'll settle down a bit next week when I'm flying "home-home". Strong winds are business as usual here in Skåne but Österbotten, where I'm headed, is hit pretty hard with water levels 1-1.5 m above normal and a lot of destroyed forest and as a result cut powerlines.

Some beer, long running/skiing socks, cycling "lobster" gloves and a Garmin cadence/speed sensor. Guess I could consider the Sigma 30/1.4 I bought before Yule an early gift to myself too. ;)

I like the DA* 55/1.4 more than my K 50/1.2. And both are better than my M 50/1.7. And all of them are better than Canon's 50/1.8 :P

Not to worry — info gathered online — my LBA hasn't taken me to those levels of acquisition insanity… yet. :p

Heavy? Compared to other similar telezooms it is almost anorectic. :lol: HTML Code: Model Weight (g) Length (mm) Diameter (mm) Filter (mm)

Heh, TOUGEFC was a bit quicker. ;)
From left:
DA* 50-135
DA* 55
Sigma EX 30
DA 18-55 WR
K 50/1.2
M 50/1.7
DA 70 Limited
DA 15 Limited
So yeah, the Sigma is quite a beast… almost as fat as the 50-135. :)

Really like this lens for indoor use. Just have to remember to shoot wide open if there are distracting point lights in the background. I also feel that the AF is not as precise as the DA* 55 or DA 35 Macro Limited that I own… could be user error though. ;)

Wow, very nice. However, the waterfall looks like it is not perfectly vertical. Should it be like that or is the picture just a tiny bit crooked?

How did suicide bombers enter into the picture? :confused:
… might as well not build any squares or shopping malls or public streets or houses or cars… because a suicide bomber might enter them an mess up peoples day. :rolleyes:
