Thanx. Upon further research I think I am just going to get an AC adapter and use that for file transfer, and use the Rayovac 2500mah NImh batteries for shooting. Battery packs are way too much money. If I am going to shell out over 500 for a battery pack I might as well just go for a new camera!!!!!! seeing as how mine is almost 4 years old

I have a K100D, and I am wondering where I can find an AC adapter, or even a battery pack for the camera.

Than alot I am going to try it out today. The picture on the forum is already much lighter than the photo I have. So I think with what you did it will look awesome!

I know you can with photoshop, but with photoshop elements you are quite limited to what you can do. Can you list the steps on how you got from the original photo to that? That is exactly what I am looking for. I can get a hold of a friend and use his photoshop.

I am trying to bring out the foreground in the following photo while maintaining the sunset while still making the photo looking real. The only photo editing program I have is photoshop elements 4.0. I am wondering if I am able to do what I want in elements, or if I need full blown photo shop. If I am able to accomplish this in elements how do I do it? |

I am just getting through volume 1 of his series, and was unsure about getting volume 2, but since yu say he talks about using a flash I will pick that up. I also have a couple of his Photoshop books and I like his style

I have been shooting with my Pentax K100D for about 2.5 to 3 years, my wife is pregnant with our first child, I think I am ready to get a flash so I don't miss any shots! Problem is I have really no idea what to get or how to use a flash effectively, this is my first DSLR / SLR camera. I have been peering around the forum and have found a few useful threads and websites.
Thanx to some of the information I have gathered from Mattdm I think I am going to go with the Metz Mecablitz 48 AF-1 Digital flash, but I am not sure so if you have any other suggestions fire away!
Does anyone have suggestions for a book or books or websites or any information they have come across to learn how to use the flash effectively?

Hello everyone. I have owned my K100D for about 2 years now, and I am still learning the ins and outs of digital photography. I currently have 2 lenses, 18-55 and 50-200.
I am looking into getting a flash at the moment, preferably AF540FGZ. So if you have one or someone that has one they would like to sell please let me know.
