I guess I should have specified that I am looking for a P & S... as I beleive it would be better/easier compared to an interchangeable lens system - as it is difficult (impossible) to change lenses with one hand, and too heavy, cause imbalance and shoulder problems.
Thanks for all suggestions... shall go through to see which is feasible, practical.... I wish there was an easy no brainer solution though :D ---------- Post added 18th Mar 2023 at 11:33 PM ---------- https://www.photogear.com.au/products/smallrig-sr-rg1-wireless-shooting-grip...SABEgKGSfD_BwE
From the website it's compatible with Sony and Canon .
this seems to be the nearest, quickest solution... with a compatible camera :)

yes; started this after a search
a tripod is not practical... especially on a day to day basis.
touch screen operation - does it include shutter release? ... need to explore that... but in reality, I guess it would be difficult to trigger the touch screen with the thumb :hmm:
Please share any links to this :)

Wow!
Please share photos of the grip you built... a demo video would be even better :D

Hi everyone
yes... another similar thread... with a slight difference.
Is there a camera suitable for a single (left) handed person?
Zoom and focus/shutter release to be on the left side.
Any make; lighter the better.
If no such is heard of (most likely), please suggest appropriate modifications :)
Thanks in advance.

Hi
Thread hijacking here... mods please feel to move elsewhere appropriate.
Posting here as I found many Aussie members.
I found a DA*300 for sale online in Australia... in NSW.
I know this is asking too much from a stranger... but would it be possible for someone here to check the lens out??
Seller is not a forum member, and pics shared (taken by the lens) are nothing spectacular...
If feasible, I plan to buy with the help of relatives (non photography people).
Thanks x n times!
Regards,
Sridhar

A couple from yesterday morning's walk.
Sprouts from cow dung!
Dung seems to be worth much more than what we think it is, for sure!!
K-x, 100/f4, handheld
Minor crop, levels, and unsharp mask done.

Hi.
Sharing couple from today's experiment: K-x + Pentax 1.7x + unnamed 300/f5.6 mirror, handheld.
The parakeet was in the shade with a bit of sunlight streaming onto it.
Crop, Resize, minor level and unsharp done.
I expected the 1.7x TC to provide some AF, but was disappointed it did not...
The focussing is tough... needs to be be done slow and precise.
Had to rely on aging eyes and the bleep when in focus.
And for some reason, all modes were behaving similarly on the K-x with this combo...
The ISO was changing as per lighting... could not change the shutter speed!
All suggestions and comments welcome :)
