Took my kit lens (the older version) out today for some backyard close-ups:
Not a super sharp lens, slow, made of cheapish plastic... but it does focus quite close (and hard to beat for the price :))

I buy white (like in non-kosher :)) meat in a Russian supermarket. The staff's efficiency is below zero, most of their shopping carts are from other chains, there's always some alcoholic trying to squeeze himself in front of you. Makes me feel home :)
The butcher is really cool though :)

Georg, that's some vivid imagination :lol: (not that I'm much better - thought it looks kinda like another planet viewed from space).
dragonfly - it's just me lost in translation, was thinking mold on the first one and fungus on the second :)
Probably should have brought a flash and lit the 2nd one from the side to give it more volume.

Congrats on the purchase!
How do you feel about the FL so far, not too long? What about flare resistance?
My brother is considering this lens for his Sony (he's over the head in debts after buying an apartment though, so not much chance to try it in the near future :lol:)
PS: don't forget to post some pics of it mounted in extreme t/s positions :)
