Hello there.
I have been making a few videos in 2014, here`s one of the results. Actually it was one of my first :) You Tube |
src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/kMzWU6uC4G4?controls=1" allowfullscreen> |
I hope it can be posted in this thread...
The video was shot with various lenses, including "Takumar 400mm f/5.6" (screw mount with poor adapter), "DA21mm f/3.2 Ltd", FA28mm f/2.8", "SMC-K 135mm f/2.5" amongst others.
Feel free to comment if there is anything you`d like to say about it :)

For me the winter is the absolute favourite time of the year to be photographing. I can`t wait for the months ahead of us :)
To have a vacation in Norway you should take your time to look around.
Thanks!
Hehe, the temperature was around 8-10 degrees Celsius at the time of photographing. Now... More like 6-8. It never freezes by our coast in the north, due to the warmth of the Gulf Stream  Gulf Stream - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I can relate to that. I have always dreamt of visiting Scotland, as well as your neighbour countries. Thanks for the comment :)
Why hesitate? Thank you :)

Hi again.
Here`s a summer memory from the north.
My beach, from up on a hill directly behind my house in Andenes, Norway.
One exposure, lowest ISO available on my pre-Ricoh camera

Here`s a picture from last evening here in the northern areas.
Norway, Europe.
External flash trigged by Cactus systems, delayed shutter on the camera and strategically placed :)

Thank you so much, Jer! ^_^
Haha, well I don`t know about that. It`s a great lens, that`s for sure. Used Sigma 400mm APO f/5.6 for that picture "Discovering the sun" and DA10-17mm fisheye for "Just another summer day".
Thanks a lot though :)

Uhm... Yes, about that...
Struggled quite a few times to upload the previewed picture in the thread. Thought I`d actually managed it now but it seems you`re perfectly right.
Will try to edit it later today.
Thanks for the feedback.

Here`s my hometown; Andenes.
Captured on a mountain that is approx. 400 meters above sea level.
The old and trusty 135mm took care of the starbursts in the picture.
MANY people shared this picture from my facebook-profile (discover my norway -Tommy Larsen) and the local energy company bought the use of it in a commercial.
I`m really proud to actually finally be making some money on my hobby, all thanks to Pentax and the lovely communities around the world :o
Also feel free to visit my homepage; "discovermynorway.com" :)

Hello!
Here are a few of my latest portraits, just wanted to show you a bit of Norway again :)
First off, a few self portraits down behind my house. In the first one you can see the light from one of my neighbour`s house in the background.
64 seconds shutter speed
Aperture f/4.0
DA 21mm Ltd
ISO 80
The second is one with my brother and I. Me in the center, the village of Andenes in the background.
26 seconds shutter speed
Aperture f/4.0
DA 10-17mm @ 10mm
ISO 2500
Then one with only me again. Trying to capture a decent selfie under an Aurora sky. Not exactly the simplest job ;)
15 Seconds shutter speed
Aperture f/4.0
DA10-17mm @ 10mm
ISO 3200
Then a few portraits without me
First off, my friend and father to-be and his wife
1/1600 seconds shutter speed
SMC-K 55 mm @ f/8
ISO 80
And then a portrait taken on location; an old museum in Andøy.
1/50 Seconds shutter speed
Aperture f/4.0
FA 43 mm Ltd
ISO 100
...and last but not least, a Confirmant :)
1/160
Aperture f/5.0
FA 28 mm

I thank Pentax for their fantastic glass K 135mm f/2.5 and will keep shooting with this one till mould kills it or I get to old to manual focus. (I`m 33 now with good eyes, so it will be quite a while in other words)

Thanks, I find it very helpful to work with this tele :)
Aw, thanks a lot :o
You should!
Thanks a lot, that`s very kind of you :o
I can only say that it is a joy to finally have a long tele that is relatively sharp and was something I could afford. Paid around 90 dollars for it.

Hi there :)
I have really fallen in love with this lens. Here are a few of my captures this month, captured in Andøy, Northern Norway, handheld only.
Cormorants and Great black-backed Gulls united.
White-Tailed Eagle in flight.
I believe this is a Greylag Goose, however I`m not certain.
Eagles AND Geese. Optical illusion created because of the narrow focal area of this lens, and because of the distances between the motives :) Focused on the eagles to achieve this.
Whooper Swans, twice :)
Have a nice evening, folks :)

Heheh... Just lucky with the timing, that`s all :) Thank you!
All right, boss! ;) My desk is by the window, and to sit by the computer all day is just way too boring, sometimes I got to look out the window, and this specific "argue" was actually spotted by one of my colleagues first :)
I think they`re all in focus, if you look at the bird`s foot, it seems sharp enough. It was more an issue of fast-moving birds, and I couldn`t freeze their movements with 1/640 seconds shutter speed... I believe. Thanks :)
Yeah, I admit I must be somewhat privileged ;) Thanks!

At work, through the window, I watched these fighting birds, trying to eliminate each other in the best possible way ;)
First, the shouting...
...the not-so-impressed female watching.
...then they start fighting.
...but he didn`t give up. Oh no, still trying to win this battle.
They disappeared before a winner was awarded. But still it was one heck of a fight to observe
Tommy.

I`m really glad I could give you some of the memories back, and I really appreciate what you write of my images... Thank you so much!
Oh, and it`s the moon. Just a little too bright for approx. 20 seconds shutter speed ;)
:o Thanks!
G:asleep::o Thank you so much, daacon!
That`s one of the reasons they believed in nature as Gods more than now, I think. Thunder was "Thor", for instance. Wonder what Aurora was seen as...
Hahaha, no you should. It`s worth the trip. Just remember to visit in march and in my part of the country, we have an overflow of Aurora Borealis in the north, and maybe especially in Lofoten/Vesteraalen.
I really, truly appreciate the kind words. And love to share some of the wonders of nature from "my world".
One can see the "Southern light" far down south. Aurora (astronomy) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Thank you sooooo much :o:lol:

Thanks a lot, I`m glad you liked them :) Life _can_ be a bit unfair, but then again we don`t have trains or cities worth mentioning where I live ;)
