Did you found this file name in description or as file itself? it is known that description differs from real file (at least for firmware 1.10 update).

Hi,
I can take up to 400 shots (but never less than 250).
Display of my K-r most of the time is turned off.

Hi,
i was playing with this feature as well and the only thing I've found to change when in M mode was exposure compensation. How much does it change depends on what metering mode is selected.
Actually i have never searched for solution nor I know if anything else may be changing

Hi,
I have K-r too. It is one great camera and I do not regret saying goodbye to my k200d.
However, there are thing Pentax could have done better. Most of them have to do with firmware - so these thing can be fixed later via firmware upgrades. I'm not sure how about noticeable front focus in dim light conditions (at least with new 35mm lens).
I would like to repeat one more time - K-r is one great camera |

After Adam's response I think I need to describe some of the other tests I made, so the real problem of K-r is clear.
After steps 1, 2 and 3 (described above) I did:
4. Turned Off my K-r and then turned it On
5. Took picture at ISO 25600 (NR was still High/Strong - camera is set to remember all settings)
Result: Picture is as clear as in first set where NR was turned off
6. Set NR to Off and took picture at ISO 25600
Result: No changes - picture is still as clear as in previous test
7. Turned Off my K-r and then turned it On again. Took picture
Result: A lot of noise.

Hi,
I've just bought K-r this week and wanted to check what High ISO Noise Reduction is capable of.
1. First I took some pictures with default settings (default High ISO NR is set to Auto)
2. Then I turned High ISO NR to Off and took pictures from ISO 100 to ISO 25600.
3. Then I set High ISO NR to High (or Strong) and took pictures again from ISO 100 to ISO 25600.
To my surprise pictures in first set (NR Off) where much much cleaner than in second (NR High/Strong).
After some other tests I came up with possible problem of K-r firmware.
When you go into High ISO NR menu, camera remembers settings and does not update them after your changes (select other than selected, click [ok] button).
Can anyone having K-r confirm this is an issue with firmware 1.0 or is this just my experience and this depends on some other camera settings.

It does not :)
Yesterday I have tried it on AF-540 FGZ and same situation there - flash does not fire.
Today I've visited dealer store and we have tested my trigger/receivers on Nikon sb600 (i think) and it worked perfectly.
So there is one option left - contacts of Pentax flashes (360 and 540 i had to test) do not reach contact on receiver. I mean they are a bit (1mm or less) too short. So I have to think of something that could connect both contacts or simply give it back to dealer and use wireless flash capabilities that are provided by Pentax with both k200d and af360fgz :)
anyway - thanks :)

Hi all,
I have some kind of similar problem with Phottix Tetra.
I cannot make my Flash (AF-360 FGZ) to trigger at all in any of the flash / camera modes. I have tried setting my camera from auto to manual (all modes in between) and Flash set to TTL, A and M - but none of the combination worked for me.
Phottix Tetra should be compatible with my Flash (at least they say it on packaging) and as far as I know my camera too (K200D).
I can see red light on both trigger and receiver flashing when I release shutter, however my flash isn't firing at all.
What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated.

Think that that would be stupid :) E.g. in a middle of long exposure SR turns ON - just because wind is blowing and trees are waving, or any other moving objects that we want to catch in a long exposure.
unless there is additional option ON/OFF/DECIDE YUORSELF - like "Imitate some great photographer" function :D lol

What does drive button do anyway - is it changing between single shot, continous shooting (hi/lo), shooting with timer (2/12 sec). If so then bracketing must have moved there (as in k200d - i have never missed bracketing button anyway).
