I got about 600 shots yesterday from stock li-ion battery, no flash though.
But I do turn on/off the camera a lot between shots. as the battery indicator reads low after 200 shots.

I have no idea how Lhasa (or Tibet in general) looked back in 1986, but I still see monks, pray flags, and temples almost everywhere in Tibetan area.

I was also confused a lot when I first got my K10D and tried to use one old Chinon lens. I was really freaked out.
Wondering why Pentax set "Prohibited" as default in the first place, it provides no benefits.

Class 6 and class 4 cards should be about the same price. but the class rating doesn't tell the whole story about speed. In my personal experience (which could be totally different from others'), Transcend class 6 cards are faster than those from Sandisk or Kingston.

I use gimp with lightroom, when i feel lightroom can't do the job.
gimpfx-foundry is a nice collection of plugins.

Thanks for all the criticisms; that's why I post them here: finding ways to improve.
Yeah, k100d tends to be a bit warm when shotting indoor, any suggestion to fix that, or am I forced to do manual white balance.
about the horizon, I hearded somewhere it should be 1/3 up or down. But I tend to forget all those rules onsite. thanks for the reminder.
