Hi folks, thank you for your replies.
The camera does keep on rattling while being switched off if the SD card is inserted and the camera was not on before either. I am sure it is a malfunction and not the SR or sensor cleaning happening, but is there a known cause or remedy?

Hi all,
if this has already been asked before, please point me to the proper thread.
The following symptoms arise:
1) A K200D starts giving off fast knocking/clicking sound if camera is switched off and an SD card is inserted into the body.
2) fully charged batteries are shown to have no charge
3) if SD card is already in and you switch the camera on and off many times, on some occasions it starts rattling/clicking/knocking like at symptom 1, the sound stops when you switch the camera ON (yes, not OFF!)
Any idea what's going on?
TX,
David

Oh yes, since mine got stolen I keep fishing for a moderate telephoto lens for portraits. Pity I lack the funding, I would buy this in a heartbeat. I often revisit my photos taken with the 135 for a pinch of nostalgy.

Finally I managed to replace almost all the 'must have' after I got all my stuff stolen. Now for the last one I am looking for a wide angle prime. Available funding is EUR350 only by paypal, that is all I have for it, must include all fees and shipping charges to Hungary.

Well, now you have an excellent opportunity to sell that lens to me! (In case it is AF).
I just find myself stopping at portraits when browsing through my pics always when it was taken with my F135. And I used the DA70 and the FA 50/1.4 a lot. Of course I am talking about candid head shots where the subject will not notice you from the corner of the eye but you are still close to see every facial gesture clearly. If you take the DA*200, then I felt I was just to far away for being in a human distance, I find that focal length a bit odd for APS-C.

Is not there a single believer left? Who still think that in the 14-55mm range it is easier to name the mm's where you have no coverage by at least a prime and two zooms, while in 77-200 range there is no candid portrait prime, e.g. the 135mm, a lens I used to use sooo much.
But it is only two years + 1 year delay from now and a new roadmap will be released. If Pentax survives so much, lack of a 135 prime on the roadmap indicates a clear error of judgement.
I pray for you, Pentax for enlightenment, for coming out with a new 135.

I also found it and submitted my serials. But it does not even find my 1000+ images with EXIF on the web. So the idea is perfect, it should be done on larger scales, but yet it rarely succeeds.

Wow, you are very generous!
I got myself in the meantime a used cheap Pentax A 35-105 f/1:3.5 for a walk-around lens it is not AF but very decent image quality, so for the time being I have something to shoot with and your lens may find someone more in need. Your intention really means a lot to me, and I hope you will get something like that back when you are to receive.
