hmmm. What lenses were used in this? Remember that canon has pre-production firmware yet, so you cant compare them yet. I saw few photos taken on high iso, and they were like K-7 or worse. :hmm:
Canon really need to learn from nikon. Nikon wont battle with megapixels, they build good, fast and user-friendly cameras. And also they are brilliant in high iso pics.
(nikon just dont have limited lenses at theis production:o)
But im good with my K-7. Its good and has same features than D300/D300s and at lower price! :D I just want more lenses now! (just bought Pentax M 50mm/1,7) Arriving today...

Tests like these really spoils Pentax name. Beginners and others think that pentax is one bad and crappy camera wich has no lenses!
But i love pentax and i feel happy i shoot with it. :D

Yep. Thats not new to me. i read "digi-kuva" magazine in here finland, and i saw macro lense test in headlines. I was so excited that how will pentax do in it.
So, every brand (canon, nikon, olympus, pentax and sony) had 2 lenses in test.
BUT with pentax, there were NO pentax brand lenses, only sigma and tamron!! (well, there was sigma with olympus and sony too, but at least they had 1 own brand macro in test.:hmm:
They said that pentax doesnt have new macros imported to finland anymore?!?!? I was like what the h*ll!! Even in helsinki, theres 3 shops that sell NEW pentax dfa 100mm/2,8macro and of course 35mm/2,8 macro Limited!

Well, guess am i ordering that magazine anymore.. I just hate that magazines like that, allways praise nikon or canon. And in tests they compare for ex. pentax lens worth of 700 to canonīs Lseries lense worth of 1700! :mad:
(ps. funniest test in that magazine was fullframe-camera body test. There was Canon 5dmkII, Nikon D700, Sony A900 and Olympus E3!!!! Oh man i laughed! Guess did olympus beat those? Awesome body BUT way in wrong test.:fedup:)
Real proīs those guys.
Do you get what i mean? Have someone else seen tests like that?

Yea. My sigma is even better than pentax 12-24mm. That doesnt look normal at all.
And all revies what i have seen, claims that sigma has great flare control, even better that nikon 12-24mm and canonīs 10-20mm.

Sony is very interesting brand and those a900 and a850 are VERY nice and sexy cameras.
BUT, those lenses are soooo expencive!! You have to buy Zeiss lenses for them, becouse otherwise itīs waste of full frame and those pixels if you shoot with some 300 zoom lense..
And Zeiss is good but expencive. I would have to pay 3200 to get both camera and Zeiss...
Thank god i have pentax and pentax ltd-lenses! :lol:

Weekend trip to Budapest with my wife. Lovely city and lovely weather!:cool: Must go back sometime.. Well, new K-7 first time in real field test with Sigmaīs 10-20mm, 70mm macro and Pentax 18-50mm WR.
What do you like?

In Finland now! Ooh man its awesome! I just canīt stop wondering the size of it, itīs allmost as small than my Olympus E-520!:D

If i could chose, i would pick:
-FA 31mm f1.8 ltd
and some macro (you told that you do abstract shots)
-Sigma 70mm f2,8 macro (good focal length for street/portraits also)
reason why i picked sigma is, that itīs perfect for portraits and you get superb macro-lense at same time. Also you can start to take macroīs now...
(fa 77mm 1,8 ltd is great, but itīs too close for youīre 50mm)

That sigma looks good when mounted in camera.
Man i got brand new sigma 70mm and 10-20mm waiting for camera! should i be "sick" from work next week:lol:

K-7 is in store at friday in Finland. (but its small shipment, only those who has preordered will get their own)
So I will get it this week! ....or maybe monday if post office doesnīt deliver it for friday.....

I like for some reason more of Sigma. I sold mine pentax 12-24mm last week and bought sigma.
i really like that 2mm wider, and i have kit lenso so i dont need that longer reach.
Optically those both are great,
sigma has better flare resistant, more accurate fokus and better build quality
when
Pentax has better kontrast and slightly better colours
i think its hard choise, but i have made my own and i really love sigma. i payed from mine only 399 , so it was really cheap.
after all, if i were you, i would choose lense, wich has better zoom range for youīre shootings |

I have it. Its great lens, sharp, fast and bokeh looks great. Itīs also build like a tank, feels solid in hands and its good balance with K20D..
I payed only 350 of mine, i got it used (only 3 weeks old still;))

So i sold mine Pentax 12-24mm and bought Sigma 10-20mm yesterday, and i also bought Sigma 70mm/2,5 macro at same time:lol:
Both were only 399 , so they were pretty cheap..
Now i only need K-7!!! Hope its here in finland soon so i can post samples of those 2 lenses;)
ps: i have to say that im a Huge sigma fan:cool:

I like more sigma. I have just sold pentax 12-24mm and ordered sigma 10-20 because it feels more solid and i like that 2mm wider.. And its optically superb, specially compared to its price :D I ordered new one today, only 399, IN Finland!:cool:
