picture was not taken with 18-55, and had heavy PP (added the '300' present in lightroom :)). ridiculous sharpness from FA 31mm. ;)

I got this lens as part of a bundle with my k-x. I already own this lens, so I'm looking to sell this new bundled lens. This lens was only taken out of the bubble wrap for pictures. I have never used it or mounted it on my camera.
I'm trying to sell this in the CONUS before shipping overseas.

I purchased this camera Dec 08 and it was my first DSLR. I recently upgraded to k-x, so I dont need this anymore! This camera was serviced over this summer due to burned out PCB board, but it was replaced and working great. Shutter count < 2000
When not in use, this camera has always been kept in a padded backpack. I have babied this camera the entire time I've had it. There are very minor signs of use (ie. extremely tiny scratched on LCD glass, dont ask for pictures theyre too small). I have an ebay focusing screen installed, and will also include the original screen
The kit lens is also included. I used the lens for <1 month and has been stored since then. The glass looks great, with minor wear on plastic.
Also included is a new Pentax remote control!
And everything else that came in the box.

wow i didnt know the k-x turned snacks into indian cuisine!
i've been pining for the k-7 for a while, but i might have to get this camera instead. and then wait for the k-7 to go to $600 or maybe the next gen which will hopefully have as good high iso.

something like this seemed to happen with my k-m. does the aperture value show 0.8 or nothing at all and the AF hexagon symbol light up still? pentax fixed it free of cost, but of course the camera broke when i was in the bahamas on vacation on the 2nd day.

i just saw this announcement and thought it was very interesting....
Phase One introduces 645DF medium format camera: Digital Photography Review
MF digital camera body with interchangeable back for <$6000 sounds very impressive. Maybe this will be an indicator of the pricing for Pentax's 645 digital camera since everyone has been screaming how there is no way the MF camera will be <$10,000.
Shows how much technology has decreased the production costs for making cameras too. I wonder how long it will take for full frame cameras to be <$1,500 (a price point I bet Pentax would finally take the plunge, or limit themselves to making cheaper and cheaper APC-S?).

plastic lens mount is not as bad as everyone says it to be.
when i first got my camera, I had the lens in my backpack and forgot to zip it up and as a result it fell out and landed directly on the mount. The mount popped off, but it wasnt a problem. There was a slight scuff on it, but other than that I put it back on and it works as intended. If it were metal, I'm sure it would be bent and impossible to get it to mount.
What's more of an issue is lack of quick shift. This feature alone is worth the $ to get teh II version.

it does have an orientation sensor which is awesome.
i have the k-m and its a great camera. this new camera is improved in almost every way. I kind of want to buy it, but for my next camera i wanted WR, 2 wheels. I wonder how much k-7 will be before/after xmas....
this is a very tempting upgrade just for the liveview/video/fps. i wonder how the buffer will be shooting raw however.... right now its not great for k-m.
i think its a great move for pentax. good job!
