... I have an FA 28 2.8 and its a great all around lens that renders magically on APS-C. I have owned the FA77 and the 28 can hold its own.The lenses I use the most are my FA 20-40 (love it very much) and the FA28. I have the DA35 2.4 and its really great especially for the price but I prefer the 28mm as it's my focal sweetspot for a prime.

Sell your 21mm & 40mm lenses, you won't miss/use em once you get the 20-40 anyways.That should get you enough to make the switch.

You can aim this lens directly into the sun and it doesn't flare either...The coatings are worth the price of admission alone!, with the added bonus of WR and near silent AF. I pretty much only use this lens outdoors so f2.8-4 doesn't matter to me, but can crank up the ISO if needed...You need this lens!📷

To me it doesn't look like a focus issue but the metering!. Is the camera metering system set to spot metering?, If so change it so it meters the whole frame. Everything seems in focus, maybe not perfect but I find continuous focus while using the back AF button helps with focus. The weather looks pretty grey and its hard to pretty that up on the best of days... I own the 20-40 Ltd and its Amazing, I feel like I have a secret weapon because it gets bad press for its focal length, aperture and price, which has dropped down considerably!....Cheers

...I'd take the 18-24mm and the 24-70 mm with the teleconvertor... Unless your birdwatching, leave the 300mm at home and send the 77mm to my home address as payment for my consult!...lol.
