Need a bag for international travel

I am in complete agreement with the Lowepro 350 especially if you can get it at good pre-owned price since i also use it to travel.

Problem is that even with the most basic of packing items, not really enough room for going around europe/americas and the souvenirs from these places which is why i am making my own bag. This is of course if you only do carry on. If you are the check in luggage type of person, in theory any camera or bag insert can work since the clothes and etc will be in the check in luggage. Can even use a storm case if the weight is not an issue.

Thank you for the quick response but looking more towards ebay, taobao and etc because b&h as well as adorama international shipping is too expensive for just batteries and i dont have anything else to buy or anyone to buy with.

Sorry to trouble you.

Small Backpack Recommendations?

It all depends on how much gear and how much you are willing to spend on the bag.

If you already have a nice bag, can just go for camera inserts like so, Jill E Jack 15 inch Backpack Camera Insert Bag Padded Dividers Protection | eBay

Which backpack to choose?

For light international travel, the Fastpack 350 is all that i need for gear + laptop + clothes and etc. Its about 8-10kg at times but nothing that cant be solved by wearing the excess weight.

For local use, i am using one of those travel shop trolley backpacks with camera compartment inserts inside which i bought separately. The wheels are a blessing to your back as long the terrain is somewhat smooth. Those Lowepro and etc trolley camera bags are way too overpriced.

Has anyone recently bought online an oem K20D battery that works with the original charger? Please give me the link because it seems whats available requires its own designated charger according to the sellers.

Thanks in advance.

They have managed a superzoom with articulating screen and yet weather resistant.

My guess would be that there will be licensing deals of the know how to various brands for them to do the same.

Going to open the door to ILC that have articulating screen and yet weather resistant.

Its not how high it can go that i am concerned about. Its how low the iso i am looking at.

For the money and being the top of Nikon`s roster, it should be able to be able to go below iso 100.

Dont really know much about photographing such boats but it does seem i will need a 600mm lens or greater for a lot of the action.

In my case, i only use it at f/1.4 when i rather deal with picture softness in post rather then the iso noise.

Still on the K20D. Only a matter of time before Pentax will launch a weather seal camera with articulated screen.

K-30 or wait for K-50 K-500

I really wonder what the management was smoking when they decided to launch this lineup. Since they released a no frills K-500, they should have came out a body with variangle lcd as it basically is giving what pentax users have been wanting for a long time even if it has no WR. God knows why Ricoh went along with it.

The K-30 is the better buy in my opinion.

So your camera roller bag passes check-in, however the other guy seated next to you is also using a camera roller bag and both does not fit the overhead compartment and everyone`s else is like crammed with carry on bags.

How did you handle it?

There are basically a few shots you must have.

1) VIP shakes hand with host.
2) Prize Giving.
3) Speech.
4) Exchange of tokens if any.
5) Group photo.

Above are key shots for a lot of corporate events as usually will be used officially. The rest of the photos you take are basically extras.

Be sure to burst as it is difficult to get everything right in one shot especially if a lot of people are involved so set your flash power to sync with your burst speed. Use iso to compensate for it. Bring lots of batteries.

A small entry level dslr with no WR but articulating screen then. Would be one hell of a street shooting camera. Unobtrusive yet gets the results.

Pentax Needs to Sponsor Pro Photographers...

Sponsor Pros is a longshot. Canon and Sony are already sponsoring promising amateurs from what i hear.

Monster Beats became overnight success because celebrities were using them on the screen and personal life. My thinking is Pentax just dont have the $$$ or should i say resources to sponsor Pros.

At the very least i hope pentax next dslr has vari angle lcd for my back sake.
