Wonderful idea with great colors. I have this lens and really like it. Suggest stopping the lens down quite a bit to bring the upper left area of the picture into sharp focus.

I took this photo with my K01, DA 55-300 f4-5.8, Quantaray 2X teleconverter, ISO 3200, .6 sec, F13.
Was fortunate in Dania, Florida to have a mostly clear sky with only occasional thin, high clouds. Think I can work on Noise reduction on the right side to improve the image.

86% positive rating on seller is about as low as I've seen. Beware?

#2 does it best for me. I like the sense of moving "into the frame" and especially the steam movement as it hits the rock wall of the mountain, giving the feeling of the power of this locomotive. Great work.

When you get to the page scroll down. You will see there are special pricing for members, some free cloud storage, some free educational opportunities, and a free 8x8, 10-page hard cover, lay-flat photo book.
When I joined they had a free metal print 8X10 -- which I used toward a larger sized metal print.
Also, I got an email from Adorama this week with another cloud storage offer (free) in addition to the one on the link page above.

I'm amazed to see the American Bittern on the handrail. The only one I've ever seen was buried in the reeds and it was very hard to get a clear picture. Ditto for the Least Bittern although I was lucky enough to get a clear picture of the Least Bittern. Nice set of pictures from Corkscrew! Last time I was there I made the mistake of wearing shorts -- the yellow flies ate up my legs.

I bought one of these tripods from Costco a few months back and have used it quite a bit. It is by far the easiest to use tripod I've ever had (mostly had heavy cheaper ones over the years). I've carried the Dolica over my shoulder for half a day while hiking and found it is so light you don't notice it. Easy to set up and use. There was a minor problem when I first got the tripod with one of the legs -- called customer service and they walked me thru correcting the problem and I've had no more problems. I would recommend it for those who want a light weight tripod that is also easy to pack for a trip.

I posted a picture from this series (got 15 images in total using continuous shooting) a few days ago with the Northern Harrier hovering over the marsh. This picture was taken as the Northern Harrier swept in to survey the marsh, looking for a meal.

The purple gallinule is the "pretty sister" to the common moorehen. The feathers in just the right light are unforgettable.

The image is cropped some so I would estimate I was 30 to 40 yards away from the Northern Harrier. It was one of those perfect moments when the camera settings were just right and I had continuous mode enabled so I actually got over a dozen pictures. This has really got me thinking about a K3 with it's 8 FPS capabilities! ---------- Post added 02-14-2014 at 11:36 AM ----------
If you get to Loxahatchee anytime soon ask at the Visitor Center if the Great Horned Owls are nesting. They can give you directions (walking distance) to the area to search but you will have to have a sharp eye as the owls blend in perfectly with the spanish moss.

Taken at Wakodahatchee Wetlands in Palm Beach County, Florida. These birds are very elusive and I felt lucky this one sat still in the open enough to get a picture.

This seems to be a pretty common problem. It happened to me 2 or 3 months ago. I used a very small amount of glue to fix and it hasn't been a problem since.
