OMG lens in totally screwed; has some mirror image issue. Steering wheel appears to be on wrong side of car. Is that Spotted Dick on the dash?

Thanks everyone for helping me find previous posts (great pics!) and for sharing opinions.
The new Sigma sounds interesting but at what price??? I like the speed of the DA and wider angle of the Sigma. Open to more opinions; want to make the right choice! PS I prefer the zoom over a prime for easy travel use.

OK first feeble post for me ... I can't believe that this choice hasn't been discussed before but I did try to search! I just bought a K20, coming from film and need to rationalize my lens inventory - so naturally I need to add something really wide. I have read the lens reviews on both of these lenses and had a quick look at both at the store as well. Both seem to be very well made. From where I sit right now it seems that the Sigma is the way to go - on price alone if nothing else - but the thing that drew me away from Nikon about 10 years ago was the affordability and quality of the lenses, flashes etc of the Pentax system. I am open to opinions; given that I probably can't go wrong either way. Thanks! :D
