Looks adorable, but has a thing for chewing shoes, or feet in general. :)

I shot this with my Pentax ME, fitted with M-50mm 1.7 using some Ilford B&W film. Note the film speed is 400, but I rated it at 200 to bring up shadow detail.
Nice vintage feel from this camera / lens / film combo.

I'm receiving a lot of requests for the profile, which is great. But involves a bit of emailing, so I've uploaded the profiles to RapidShare.

You can find them here:

Hope everyone is happy using the profile.

Hey Ash, was really grey and dull, with this taken in between showers.

The PP livened it up.

The original images are not always that good.

Here's another example of before and after. The before shot first is average. Some shots if had are complete write offs. The key seems to be to get good exposure, if it's underexposed, you have no chance.

I grew up in Vic. and barrack for Essendon. LOL
But I love it here in QLD, and aren't going anywhere!

I find that I often 'expose to the right' by +0.3 with the K-7.

Many times I have taken a well composed, well exposed and detailed image, to which everyone says WOW, except the Canikon shooters, who zoom to 100% and comment on the noise....

I do hope Pentax improve, as they should, but meanwhile, I'm loving the shots I get from the K-7, and hopefully they have a nice upgrade for me in a few years time.

That's a nice 6400 shot for the K7.

I do like K7 Metering and white balance.

I notice on the images above, NN has done really well on the solid black of the car, but struggled with colour noise on the grey bumper and roadway.

I'm very happy with the K7 noise levels under normal shooting conditions, using NN, and I'm sure the profiles will be very useful for you.

99% of the time, I use the auto profile, and only 1% I tweak them a little, when I'm at the high end of ISO.

Happy shooting!

My point is, I didn't create a Noise Ninja Profile for this situation. (ISO 6400 +0.7EV)

I created profiles for 1/3 ISO steps, with an extra profile at 6400 +0.3EV

Taken under less than perfect conditions, near dark. Quite a pleasing result, I thought.

Try it. If you shoot at ISO 3200 +0.7EV, Noise Ninja will auto match with, I'm guessing, the ISO 5000 profile.

At 6400, with +0.7EV, it's got nowhere to go.

Glad that you like the profiles overall.

ISO 6400 on the K7 is bad IMO, and would have to be desperate before I used it myself.
I do a bit of low light stuff, but usually at no more than 3200. As they clean up well, and leave plenty of detail.

First time shooting fireworks. Most shots between 6 and 12 seconds worked best.
These are cropped from landscape images, as my tripod has a fixed head.

I thought the worst also, when I saw the thread title.

That's a great series of shots! Pentax can do sports, no problems.

If you don't mind - here's a few shots I got from the K-7 on the weekend. These are not a burst sequence, though I did a couple of those.

These were shot at around f/3.2 on AF-C
