Hi,
I'm looking for reasonably priced Super Program (Super-A), EU only.
I have Program A at the moment, by my DA lenses (esp. DA 70) are usable only in P mode and I'd like to use Tv to control depth of field (abusing Tv to force camera to use certain aperture).
I may buy a lens or two with it (probably wider ones, A or M's), please make me an offer.
I'm also looking for K1000 for my GF (she wants to study photography), preferably with M50/1.7, M50/1.4 or similar lens (not required, I can give her some of mine).

Do it. I did it and I don't regret a thing. Body and AF is more responsive, exposure is better, holds better, more controls are a joy, viewfinder is better (and with indicators). IQ wise, I see some improvement, but not enough to switch just for IQ. But feature-wise, it's just way better body.
The things I like the most:
- TAv, HyperProgram
- 2 rollers
- AF-C/S switch
- spot/matrix/center metering switch (I just switch to spot metering and use AE-L in difficult lightning situation/with fill flash)
- AE-L button separate from AF button
- control for AF selection (I use auto 5 for tracking/point selection)
- AF!!!! - esp. accuracy (I have a lot more in-focus keepers than before)
- AF fine tuning

Tamron service will calibrate the lens with your body if the focus is off.

If you buy a new lens, just get it calibrated with your body for free.

It's a long shot (due to high demand and low availibility), but if someone (from EU) is in the market for a K-5 body only and has an option to buy it with 18-135 WR kit, I'll gladly buy 18-135 from him (for a reasonable price).

Yeah. There must be something wrong. Kit lens trash both Sigma and DA 21 at all apertures. But I downloaded the images and PhotoMe is correct about the lens (and it corresponds to the sliders), so it may be focusing error?
The results about sharpness are definatelly not in line with the pictures shown in comparison (and with my DA21).
edit: On the other hand if I look at corners, they are way better on DA21 pictures, so it could be just field curvate.

Ok I managed to run PKRemote, but it can just focus, fire the shutter and change some shooting settings and crashes like crazy (won't start at all in anything but green mode on camera for me). The initial problem was 64bit system (windows 7). I ran it in Windows XP Mode (32bit) just fine.

I have not been lucky with PKRemote from the same source. It crashes when conntect K-x. Maybe wrong gtk+ version? I don't know. I'll keep you posted if I get it working (I tried gtk+ 2.16 and 2.22 both win32 and win64 versions with libiconv 1.9.1).

Hi,
I tried https://sites.google.com/a/pentax.org.pl/tomaszkos/en (via RiceHigh) and it works!
The program is pretty good for first testing release. It allows you to control ISO/Aperture/etc. via simple window (through USB), take a picture and save it somewhere.
Things that didn't work for me:
- interval shooting
- AutoFocus button (it autofocused and then fired shutter on "shutter" button press)
- freezes ocasionally
I'll try PKRemote next (after gkt+ libraries are downloaded).

Send them an email (to official support). I don't think Pentax Japan reads this forum.

It may be a problem of your camera. I never experienced something like that on my K-x.
We'll see what other people with K-r will say.

Is that wierd translation or do I get ir wrong?
Why would I want to control PC with 645D? Shouldn't it be the other way around?
