even not being as well informed as Mistral and Zygonyx , I can confirm the historical implication (?) / excellent relations of Mr Studient with Pentax , I have been a client with them for some time now , and spoken with 3 generations of pentaxians there ; so , what the Parisian Pentax Store can confirm , can be believed .

well - got mine end of last may (2015) , must have been amongst the first lot shipped to France , serial number amongst the possibly problem ones - but so far so good ; I suppose that , if it is to happen , it does straight away ? or am I wrong ? anyway I've got it with a 4-years warranty , so ...

good morning ! I don't know where you phyfically are , but here it's cold and very foggy : even a K3 + 31mm Limited could not pierce it ...
nevertheless , I DO hope to have the good luck to win this fabulous lens - have I won ? ah , not yet ... results later ... it sounds like announcements by Ricoh+Pentax : 201* or later ...:lol:

fan of Pentax since sept. 1971 , I now own a K3 : this FA 31mm would go perfectly with my other lenses , including a few Limited . Shall I be THE lucky one ? France is the ONLY place in Europe having a shop exclusively dedicated to Pentax - in Paris - , displaying an exclusive collection of cameras and lenses from ... the very old days . So , being French , I deserve to be the Forum member to win it ! (joke ...) :)

I've actually bought it - quite dificult and rare here in France ... - and should receive it today .
Yes I'll definitely use it ; instead of 18-135 ? I don't know yet , too different ranges ; instead of Sigma 17-70 ? that's going to be a very difficult choice ...
it's here ! in its box ... until weather conditions - at least decent light ... - allow me to try it ...

8-16 - no thanks, it's going to be very expensive, and sigma 10-20 does a very good job already :cool:
17-50 - like someone (?) i just got the "new" 18-50 (basic version !) ... :rolleyes:
85 - well, have to wait for the tests and price ... :hmm:
New 70-200 f 2.8 OS - no thanks - unless outstanding and affordable ... ;)
50-500 mm f 4.5-6.3 OS HSM - no thanks- unless outstanding and affordable ... ;)

hé ! il ne faut pas être si susceptible ! (canadian ? so you understand french ?) - ok, a selection has to be (accepted,not excepted ...) - Only the best examples , I agree too. it is not a personnal display area, of course not. but "process may take from days to weeks " seemed a bit long to me - but of course, you must get 100s, so ... as for using a pentax camera, that's obvious here ! anyway, Peter, apologies from me, and maybe to another post ? what's the weather like with you ? here, dull, grey, not very cold but unpleasant - not ideal to get out with even a K20D or a K7 (weatherprotected ?) !
