Interesting point! But also check old lenses for dirty back elements! I thought my old M-135/3.5 was completely useless on digital until I cleaned the back element. But still, after cleaning, I wasn't too happy with the results on my K10d. For some reason (less shiny sensor?!), the K-5 gave better results than the K10d. And on the K-1ii even more so.

The 24-70 is a Tamron design, the 70-200 is not.

LOL indeed. But seriously, wouldn’t a full frame 645 be the logical next step - not only to trump Fuji, but to make it less of a K-1 competitor?

It’s good to see Ricoh delivering the goods, but as a K-1 owner, I only have one question: “But what about the DFA 21 Ltd”?

I have a Pentax-compliant Metz from the early 80s and don’t dare to use it on my digital Pentax cameras.

Indeed, I’ve used it for architecture in APS-C myself and always loved the razor sharp images. You’re probably right that it’s much less of a general purpose lens on FF. OTOH 70mm is often a very useful FL, maybe more than 105 :)

I consider the DA70 "FF proof". I use it at least as often on K-1 as I used to on K-5. It only fails to be "FF proof" for the cases where you want corner-to-corner absolute sharpness. But that's not the typical use case for the DA70 at all, at least not for me!

So, despite all the love it gets, the FA77 will probably be the last of the three amigos I buy (I have none yet). I'll probably start with the FA31, since I have no fast lens in that range.

I hope we get some news on this lens soon. I really need a wide angle and am tempted to buy the 15-30, but I think I’d be using it mostly in the 20-24 range, which means that a 21 makes much more sense.

Did they ever exist?

Anyway, if you type in the address ricoh-imaging.no, you are sent to Focus Nordic as you say.

But if you follow the link to cameras from ricoh.no, you're sent to Ricoh Imaging's EU pages.

I spy a castle-like building overlooking a vineyard. Here's a much larger vineyard in the heart of the famous Palatinate (Pfalz) wine region. And if you look closely, there's a small castle at the end of it under the hills. That's Villa Ludwigshöhe, a summer holiday retreat for Ludwig I. of Bayern.
