Hi
I have updated the firmware and it is still not working.
I have tested without a lens in manual I can set it all the way to 30 second and the shutter does open and it exposes as normal.
When I put it in bulb mode and look at the sensor it only opened very fast and expose for 1/25 of a second no matter how long you hold the shutter.
This is very strange. Maybe I should try keeping the battery outside for a day.

Thanks lister. I see from the exif that it is 1/25 but you can see it in the exposure as well. In manual mode exposure up to 30 sec does still work. Also as said some days it works and some it does not. I will try and update the firmware then. It is still the original firmware.

It is even Stranger. I for example hold down the shutter either by hand or cable release. It sounds like it makes a shutter sound. I then hold for 1 min and release and it makes a shutter sound but exposure was only 1/25 when you look at photo. All noise reduction is off. Battery was more than half full.
As said I tried with O gps powered on and off

Hi all
I seem to be having a problem with my bulb mode on my pentax k3. Last week it seemed to be working fine but every now and then it behaves strangely
I tried testing with my O gps on and off but for some reason it always just take a exposure of 1/25 sec. I tried with and without the pentax cable release and even changed the bulb behavior in the menu to mode 2 but still no luck. I can see the exposure is only 1/25 and it is not a total dark frame.
Can anyone please help.
Please also feel free to ask for more info.

I got one where he got a fish as well. The fish came to clean to hoppos. Taken at sunset dam in the kruger.
