I have been testing my new 150-450mm lens with the old Pentax 1.7F TC and K3 Never had any good results with it on previous owned lens and almost sold it a few times. However on the 150-450mm it works well.
Used a tripod , manual mode and manual focus with MUP and IR remote.Slight tweak and sharpen in PS and covert to B/W.

K3 Crazy Mirror Sickness (Mirror Flapping Lockup) - Report Yours Here!

I had my first experience of mirror flap last week while on holiday. First time I was taking a photo of a boat , I had not taken a photo for 5 or 10 minutes prior to that. It stopped on its own after a few seconds. The second time it happened, a few days later I had been taking a number of shots and it started flapping and would not stop until I took the battery out.
K3 Ser # 4828534
Bought Nov 2013
firmware 1.03
Settings AV , spot focus , centre weighted. Pentax Battery was about half full. Weather was hot ( 28C and sunny ) Lens was 18-135 WR.
A few days later I was doing a video, when I stopped the video the video save screen never finished the wait icon was displayed but never finished. Camera was locked up. no buttons worked. Powering off on had no effect. Had to remove battery to regain control. The video file had been saved OK though.

Mine arrived today. There is no manual available ( even on the Ricoh website ) and with the brief testing I have done it may well be being sent back as unfit for purpose. My view at the moment is it is a rubbish product. I will give it some more time but it is not at all what I expected or hoped for.:( very dissapointed.

Do no use a aerosol air blower. It will most lokey ruin your sensor. very fine drops of liquid will come out of these aerosol air blowers

Ah Ben,

I only wish I had said that first. Rh has been like this for years on a number of different forums. I actually think he has one grain short.
