Sorry to here this as I would like to upgrade my K20 but my feeling with the brand after reading all these defects prevents me from moving forward. My view of the brand is.
If one believes as I do the Ricoh management was in place 12 months pervious to the Oct 1st transfer on the books as it would be typical for an operation of this nature. The QC of the brand my not improve as it has already been established.

I think the verbiage "power Zoom" is referring to the level of magnification of the lens. With out doubt Pentax has a few hidden prototypes for a mirrorless and FF body somewhere. This lens is an example of some leg work if they chose to enter a market segment. My bet is that it is for FF.

The K5 maybe at the point of its shelf life that it could use a news flash to maintain the sales pace. If it does come out in a few days than I think Pentax holds these updates until they feel the product needs some press.

The X70 may have been developed for the Walmart shopper. It well look nice on isle 5 As a fuji 6900 owner I feel they are a little late to the market for those stepping out of film.

Have have been lurking for a while. I have owned Pentax equiment since the early 80s. I mostly just point and shoot. As soon as I learn to navigate the site I will post some stuff.
