Not replace but add another camera, with film cameras I purchased my last Pentax in the mid 80's SF1, digital I have the *istDs (2004) and K20D (2008) . I have decided my next purchase will be a Full Frame camera, most likely Canon unless Pentax introduces one in the next few years.
Having worked in a photo hobby shop years ago I can say it is the photographer and not the camera that makes a great shot. The folks with the old beat up well used cameras always had better shots than those with the ones in fancy bags in pristine condition.

I use high ISO a lot with my K20D and find the results much better than anything I could do with film. With film we had grain and now with digital noise, I prefer a a sharp inage with noise to a noisless smudged picture.
Here is a shot at ISO 3200 run through Bibble http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v246/tricogus/IMGP6045.jpg

As a kid I used my dad's Rollie TLR and to this day I still use my E36 potato masher flash I bought new back in 1974. They made good stuff.

I hope it is true but I will only believe it when I see a camera I can purchase.

I choose Pentax as I already had some Pentax gear, film body and lenses. It was the easiest way for me to go digital so I bought an *istDs then later a K20D.
I have considered adding a full frame camera but still keeping my Pentax gear. With all my M42 lenses the obvious choice would be a Canon 5D. But then I left Canon years ago when they droped their FD lens mount (I still have and use my F1).

Thank you for the welcome Robin. As the setup is different over here I will be an old dog learning new tricks for awhile.

Everything was going well with his shot until it bounced off the rim. Test post, first photo in this forum.
