Hi all.
I was looking into getting adapted and geared for P-series filters for my k100d. I started thinking about what filters are even worth buying, considering the level and ease of post processing these days. I most certainly will buy a circular polarizer, NDs', and maybe an 89b IR. But, is there any use for any of the other filters like graduated or colored? I think that almost anything can be replicated in Photoshop these days. Is there somthing that cant? I am not a complete post processing wizard, yet. So, I would appreciate the thoughts of others on this topic.
Thanks!

Come along on trip through a reverse osmosis water treatment plant. The images are comming from a k100d and the 18-55 kit lens. The first step is permanganate greensand filtration. Greensand filtration removes the iron and hydrogen sulfide which causes red stains and the rotten egg smell. The next step is membrane softening. Membrane softening removes the hardness from the water through the use of reverse osmosis membranes. The water then travels through a packed tower degassifier to stabilize the water so it wont destroy the pipes in your house. After a chlorine is added for disinfection requirements, the water is stored in a 2 million gallon storage tank. And here I am, sitting in the control room waiting for somthing to break.
Thanks for comming along!

Very nice shots. The practice rounds are by far the best time to go a PGA event. I went to the PODS Championship at Innisbrook and they wont let you take anything inside except you wallet and maybe a watch as long as doesnt beep. The PGA has become obsessed withg not allowing celphones or electronics at any of their events.

all agreed we have gone to a new level as far as thing we can cature now. its now possible to go into dark room crank up the iso and turn on the shake reduction and get sharp images where film would flounder around like pudding. But, how often are we really doing that? I am chalenged by exposure, color and composition as much now as I ever was. If I want to see in the dark I can by a nigh vision camera.

I have had lots of p&Ss'.
Coolpix990 - RIP - Dropped.
Canon a60 - RIP - Stollen / unknown. But some people I work with think I left it inside a 2 million gallon water storage tank.
Canon A530 - RIP - Dropped as part of "operation drop camera" to get a replacement gift card from a big box store that offer replacement / protection plans. Shhh dont tell anyone.
Canon S3is - Not dead yet. Good camera, super long lens, Image stabilization is very good, but the camera is really noisy on anything higher than 200 iso and its a little bit to big for the pocket on most slacks. Its on Eeekbay right now.
Item number: 260099037492
The Cooolpix was the best by far.

this problem is not distinct to photography. My buddy chris has a 40 handicap in golf and a 2000$ set of clubs.
Back to the topic at hand.

Howdy all. I just though I would lay down the obligatory introduction post. I have been watching this forum an I am very impressed by level of activity, helpfulness and depth of information that is available related to all things Pentax.
I am a recent Pentax convert. I have had mostly canons and few nikons. The K100d is so superior to my former rebel. The shake reduction is unbelivable. I had an Ist d L for a few days and it had major imaging problems (the previous owner spit on the ccd.) I had to return it; but i promised myself that I would get the k100d when I Got the chance.
Thats it for now.
