OK question of the day. Anyone have any input on these 2 lenses? Seems like the Sigma is better for macro with a 7.9inch focal length while Tammy is over 10". Obviously Tamron is wider but any other advice on these 2 lenses that would persuade me in either direction?

I am looking for a good all around lens. Portrait, landscape, lowlight and some Macro if I am not getting to greedy. I know the DA 16-45mm gets good reviews other then some purple hazing around the edges. Anybody have advice that has shot either or both?

Thanks people. All great advice. Looks like the DA 16-45 f/4 is a great lens. What if I add Macro into the mix???

Out of those lenses. Which would you recommend for lowlight situations...dusk or dawn..possibly night?

I have a new K10D and it came with 2 kit lenses. Tamron 28-80mm and 80-300mm. The 80-300 is a decent lens but I need to know what would make a good starter wide angle lens or just a good lens for landscape photos. Prime or zoom. Under $300.00. Any suggestions??
