As my test... the used WR lens unit, pf is serous with Lightroom, but pf is less when using Pentax org software. Maybe that's why have so many different results.

What is your comment about the 100 in portrait style focus range, I mean af speed... will it jump around the focus range so i may miss the expressions or so?

When it going to 0.7m it go too much out of the upper part, and the lever that control the aperture run out of it;s hole. https://i.imgur.com/zKU6EkA.jpg when it reach 0.7m sorry for my bad photo

Yes corporate headshot most shoot in 5.6-8 but other photography it may have a purple edge and green tone in high contrast edges... as i remember.

I understand the 77. my FA 77 is stolen back in 2005. I still got a FA* 85 1.4 I just want a modern lens (less ca, useable wide open, have lightroom profile etc.)for my Kit for 80% headshot / portrait or maybe 20% food photography.

I'm doing all my corporate portrait type shots with DA70 + K3 for years.

I now have a K1ii and since my DA70 just break as 2 part (I can unscrew and put it back as one but it's very easy to break as 2 part again... any way to repair it?)

And my main question is if I am going to buy a new lens for corporate portrait works, should I by the HD77 or HD100 macro?

Any suggestion are welcome.

The only way to soft the light is make it bigger... So the only way is bounce it to a white board or wall.

I just wake up... just sleep couple hours after a long night with cameras.

I confirm the K1ii use DNG will got accurate WB K number then PEF, no more 6xxxK crazy WB when load in lightroom.

I now switch K20D K3 K1ii is to DNG for DNG profile without much side effect (maybe a bit slow rendering after load) ... but K10d if doing same it result 7200K WB in light room :(

What I believe the software developer and camera mfg don't do their best for our camera yet!

I have using PEF and DNG profile for over 10 years without any problem... until I got the K1ii... maybe pentax's raw have something new in it but lightroom never notice.

Thanks for all guys and some mentioned using dng... I do believe the pef and dng will have same data but just with different container... But my test not show this is correct...

Thanks for your follow up

Both cameras use same lens Pentax DA70 without filter

Flash system is Godox Pro line with color stable mode (+-100K) in M mode and metered with a calibrated sekonic 758 meter

The strange thing is the K1ii have almost 300k different even 2 camera I set manually to 5600K
