Remote Control C Zoom LS - 37366 - Buy.com
$12 shipped and no batteries needed. My understanding is that its good for 7,000 uses and then you just buy another. If you really want batteries instead you apparently can have them shipped to Pentax for battery replacement sugery. This is all secondhand infor so I might be wrong.

I got a 360 FGZ for $33 at circuit city a while ago. How well would it work with one of those kits at MPEX?

For me, the floor is my friend. I set my bag on the floor/ground and squat. I chose my lens and take it from the bag. I place my camera on the bag with the lens facing upwards and disconnect it from the camera but I do not remove it.
Next I simply pop the cap off of the replacement lens, pull the lens off the camera and place the new lens on. Put the cap quickly onto the old lens and then twist the new lens on correctly. I am still pretty new to photography but it takes me probably 10-15 seconds from the decision to change until I am ready to shoot again.

"Close your eyes and open them again on the count of three......3...2....1......open" wait one second and then take your picture. A friend told me to do this every time I photograph more than two or three people and it works everytime.

I was new to DSLRs a few months ago. The K200D is very user friendly. I also kinda feel like I should have gone for the K20D instead. Kinda like a catch 22. If I had gone for the K20 I think I probably would have been overwhelmed. Having gone with the K200 I feel that I have grown out of it. Keep in mind that taking great pictures and knowing how to use your camera are two different things. I have a friend who takes fantastic pictures on her Canon 50D. She never takes if off 'auto' because her techinical knowledge is not there but she has an amazing eye for balance and composition.

I was never talking about switching to Canon I was just thinking about upgrading to a K20D if it would get me faster focus/continous mode. I was never planning on doing this at the expense of my lens collection. I was never doing this with the assumption that I would be a better photographer. And I repeat: I was never planning on buying a Canon.
I compare pictures from the K200D to the K20D and I can't really tell a difference. I didn't look all that closely, I'm not a pixel peeper. I looked at both and while I could tell they were probably taken on different days one did not neccesarly look better. So I came to the conlclusion that I had no need to go though the messy process of selling my camera and buying a new one.
Oh, yeah. I have all noise reduction off on my camera. Noise I can live with, blur I cannot. I have printed out some very nice 11*14" prints(cat portraits for my girlfriends mom) that were taken in low light and the noise just never seems to be such a big deal once printed.

Well, I can barely tell a difference between those pics. Maybe. So I guess I am still pretty staisified with my K200D.

Is there anywhere I can get some side by side images from both the K200D and the K20D?

I went out shooting with a friend today and I had a chance to use her Canon 50D. All I gotta say is wow, what a cool camera. I have a K200D that I love but the 50D kinda made me wish for a camera with a few more bells and whistles. Something a little faster with the auto focusing and continous mode.
How much of an improvement is the K20D over the K200D and how close dose it come to the 50D?

I am interested in trying some wide angle shots but I don't know which lens is the 'one'.
Any suggestions?

I was just asking what the benefits were. I have very little understanding of medium format photography so I am also unware of the benefits of medium format lenses. I didn't mean to hijack a thread, I was just curious of the OPs intent.

Just out of curosity, why would you put a medium format lens on a K200D. I am a newbie with a K200D so I thought I would ask.
Thanks!

Hello,
I am new to photography but a quick learner. I have decided that I would like a nice monopod for outdoor pics and a tripod/stand for my flash. I have a 360FGZ flash that I would like to use without having to mount it on my camera. Seems like the wireless mode dose the trick but I have to get my girlfriend to hold the camera for me and she is getting tired of it.
For the monopod I want something under $100 that is quick deploying. An adjustable head would be nice too.
For the tridpod/stand, it just has to hold my flash up.
Thanks!
