Up for sale is a mint, Tamron 70-200 f2.8 zoom lens. The lens is in perfect condition only used a few times for about 4 weddings. The only reason I am selling is because our wedding photography business is going with a full frame system (www.2photopros.com). The lens was just serviced from Tamron for some minor back focusing. They adjusted it, cleaned it and just returned it to me. If you ever need service for this lens, all you need is the receipt to send it in. I am including the original receipt as well as all the original equipment that came with the camera (hood, case, etc.). This lens is really, really nice... Thanks for looking

I just got this lens a couple of months ago from Pentax brand new as a replacement for a defective copy (due to a centering defect that they could not fix) that I got for the first copy I purchased. This copy is spot on with no issues. NO BF or FF issues or centering defects. Never any SDM issues. A real Gem! That has not been my experience at all. You made a great point. Know the behavior of the flash. That is my problem. My experience so far (5 weddings, 1 engagement session, 2 K-5's, 1 Kr) has been that the behavior is erratic at best. On one occasion it is ok. The next and more often, it is overexposed (grossly). During a wedding, I need predictable results with common situations. I don't have the luxury of having -1.5 EV at one instance and then having to compensate to +1.5 the next. I always shoot manual RAW and there is a definite problem. I have been through 4 bodies with all the same results. I have asked others to reproduce my tests and post the results. So far no takers. Could you please post these "tests" you have done? I would love to see them with your settings. Are your ceilings tall or about the average height (8ft). How close are you to your subject? Do you keep the aperture and shutter constant while raising the ISO with PTTL in M mode? Thanks

I couldn't agree more. I have switched to manual flash or the A mode on my Metz until there is hopefully a firmware update...

Dido about the camera settings. Make sure you are in manual mode and the parameters are set up the same. I have tested 4 K-5's all with the same result. If you could post your samples I would appreciate it.

I would upgrade and get the Sigma 17-50 2.8 for starters. It is a killer lens. It actually performs better than my DA*16-50. It focuses fast on the K-5 and is very accurate. Check out photozone.de for its review. Also think about getting some primes too. I really like my Sigma 85 1.4. I'm thinking about getting a 31 1.8 as well. Take care,

If you look at my post here (https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-k-5-forum/136720-k-5-bounce-flash-...onse-metz.html) you will see where the problem exits with controlled settings that you can reproduce. If you occasionally use PTTl or use the "P" mode all the time you may not notice problems. I don't know. I usually only shoot in Manual or Aperture preferred modes. What mode where you shooting this picture with? Did you have any flash compensation on? I have had 4 K-5 bodies with all the same problem. I have shot 5 weddings and 1 engagement session all with PTTL over exposure problems.
