The 10-20mm has now sold.

I'm amazed the Sigma 70-200mm hasn't been snatched up yet. I'm selling it cheaper than what i paid for it last year.

I'll seriously consider any offers.

Looks like I need to list on eBay.

K20D Body plus battery grip, extra battery & 2 X 4GB ADATA Class 6 SDHC Cards
$700USD **SOLD**
  • Body in very good/excellent condition with no marks except small scuffing on bottom near tripod mount (normal wear). All working. Just over 9000 shots.

  • 2 X Battery. 1 original. 1 after market higher capacity. Both hold excellent charge.

  • 2 X 4GB adata class 6 SDHC cards in excellent condition.

  • Complete in original box with charger, cables, strap and all original disks and manuals

Sigma EX 70-200mm f/2.8 DG APO Plus Sigma AF Teleconverter X 1.4
$950USD
I bought this lens on this forum in 2009 & I am sad to let it go. Original sale listing is here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/sold-items/52513-sale-%5Bsold%5D-%5Beu%5D...mm-dg-apo.html

This lens is the older non HSM and this particular model is regarded as the sharpest version ever made. This lens blows every other lens in my bag out of the water as far as picture quality including primes.

Excellent condition all over with no markings anywhere on body or elements.

Comes with a Hoya Super Pro UV Filter, both caps, the tripod mount and semi hard bag.

Does not have hood.

The TC is in very good condition with no marking on the elements, however the mount has a little general wear.

Absolute must have lens.

Tokina AT-X Pro 28-80mm f/2.8
$400USD **SOLD**

I also purchased this lens from here in July 2008. Original listing here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/sold-items/33979-%5Bsold%5D-tokina-28-20-f2-8-x-pro.html

This is a solid professional lens with quality build and optics. It is also pretty rare so grab it while you can.

Included is hood, soft case, original box & manual and a Hoya Pro1 77mm UV filter.

Lens has been well looked after and is in the same condition that I bought it in.

Technical Specifications:

Lens Construction: 16 elements in 11 groups; one low dispersion and two aspherical elements
Angle Of View: 75 to 30°
Maximum/Minimum Aperture: f/2.8 and f/22
Minimum Focusing Distance: 1.6' (0.5m)
Filter Size: 77mm
Dimensions: 3.3x4.5" (84x120mm)
Weight: 28.6 oz (810 g)
Accessories: Hood and soft case included (as well as original box and manual.

Sigma EX 10-20mm wide angle lens
$380USD **SOLD**

Absolute gem of a lens. Very sad to let this one go. Excellent condition all over with no markings at all on elements or body. See photos below.

This lens is amazingly sharp at all f stops.

Comes with a Kenko Pro 1D 77mm Protector(w) filter, both lens caps, soft case, original box and lens hood.

Pentax AF500 FTZ Flash
$200USD

This is the old style flash that doesn't have P-TTL however it worked perfectly on my *ist DS and K20D bodies for some reason.

Also works perfectly as a slave for other flashes. Has very minor scuffs from use but is otherwise perfect.

Comes in original box and with vinyl cover. I will also throw in a soft diffuser.

Any questions please leave a message and I will answer as soon as possible. Happy to ship multiple items together. Contact for postage rates. Please make an offer if you wish. I will consider all offers made however I think the prices are already reasonably cheap.

All prices are in US Dollars. If you are in Australia message me for AUD prices.

Photos of all gear are shown below. Photos taken with the lenses can be seen on my flickr account at Flickr: troy :)'s Photostream . Search for lenses to see specific samples. All shots are mostly SOOC.

Thanks
Troy

My FA-50mm f/1.4 just fell apart in my hands

Yes... mine did *exactly* the same.

No warning and it was never badly treated by me. I ended up throwing it in the bin as the Pentax support here in Australia did not want to know about it since it had fallen apart (WTF!!!)

oh mine had *exact* the same symptoms as yours. wouldn't focus to infinity out of the blue one day. nothing had changed with the lens. not dropped or anything. just focus stuffed up and I switched to manual focus and rotated and out she popped. *exactly* the same.

of course here in australia the one Pentax repair centre in Melbourne did not want to know about it and getting rough pricings from third party repair places made it totally pointless trying to repair ($200+ for a $500 lens)

Thanks for the extra notes Peter. I'm definitely swaying towards grabbing it and have sent TC a PM.

Our Aussie peso has seemed to gather a bit of momentum again lately and this lens was what I was planning on buying next.

Oooh so tempted. this is the exact lens I want to buy but I really want HSM.
I'm tired of screw drive lenses on my K20 body and their slow focus :-(

edit: hmmm just doing some conversions to Australian dollar and with the TC this is very attractive. Man I'm quite close to grabbing this. Is the sharpness really enough to offset the lack of HSM?

I've sent you a PM

I'm getting tired of it already. Go wank over you D700 or 5D some place else please.

You can shoot with the existing 10-20 variable apeture one easily enough hand held at night as it is.

When I first looked at getting the 10-20 I was concerned about the variable aperture but once you use it you find that it doesn't matter.

Hand holding a lens at 10mm at 1/20 or even 1/10 is not out of the question with in body SR.

My 50mm f/1.4 Super Tak is superior to my SMC-FA 50mm f/1.4 without a doubt.
The Super Tak is astounding. The colours. The creamy bokeh. Wonderful.

I'll drag up some sample images from both when I am home later on (work ban on flickr grrrr)

Absolute and utter crap.

I've stood beside both cameras during group shooting sessions and heard *both* models you quote hunt around like psychos for focus as much as mine did.

My only annoyance with the camera is that I use Live View, but I also like using Depth of Field preview and they are both linked to the same button.

Other than that. Nothing.

Hong Kong prices for K-mount lenses?

I bought my Sigma 10-20 in Hong Kong. Can't remember the store name (in Mong Kok) but boy was it exciting walking into a store and seeing cabinet after cabinet dedicated to Pentax gear WOW!! (especially coming from Australia where it is hard to find even entry level Pentax bodies in shops).

I'll edit this post when I find the details. The store was really good. Very helpful. Let you try the lenses before purchase, etc.

I can get a 2Gb flash drive for $15 australian pesos from an overpriced shopping mall.
Say no more :-)

My flash drive is chocked up with Portable Apps like Firefox and other utilities (Keepass, Truecrypt, etc).

I suppose I could use a card and reader but in my head that would be a waste of an SD card.

have you seen these ones on Adorama?

POAETPXK Pro Optic Auto Extension Tube Set for Pentax-KPR Mount, 3 Tubes.

I can't recommend that actual product but I can highly recommend Adorama. An excellent place for Australians to buy from. Extremely quick postage!

edit: hmmm looking at the closeup picture on that site though.... I can't see any contacts so I wonder if they really are "auto" or if the picture is wrong for the product.

Hey mate, any initial feelings or comments on the lens?
I'll be basing my own decision on this lens partly on what you think of it ;)

I'll also be hassling them for the price you got as well ;-)
