Thanks for your reply, it does act the same with all lenses, have not cleaned the contacts will try that, I have switched the body to mf many times, camera remains on af.

Yes tried that thankyou, I have had the camera for quite a few years often changing lenses, maybe the camera is getting tired .

When I shift the af/mf button on the left hand side to mf ,so i can manually focus, the camera stays in auto focus.

Evening all, i have a problem with my k200d after having used manual focus many times it now seems to be stuck on auto, can someone help please.

Hi my name is neil, i have been interested in photography since i was a teenager, my main interests are landscape and photographing old buildings, i use a pentax k200d dslr , i am just a novice.
i also have a 70mm to 210mm lens from my film days.
