It was in 1965 and I couldnīt afford a Nikon. So I bought a Pentax. As I have stayed with Pentax ever since then it couldnīt be too bad ... Another answer is that I donīt like being like everybody else. ...and I find most Pentax being more beautiful than Canon and Nikon. And of course itīs a good camera.

About twenty years ago, much the same thing happened to me, standing on a cliff by lake Vanern in Sweden. Mounted in a tripod the camera was blown into the hard rock. You could look into the inside of the camera, a Super A, both on top and bottom. I went home and ordered another used Super A but started to assemble the pieces of the smashed one together. Glued the top plate to the house but the bottom plate did not quite fit but stayed in place good enough. Now, twenty years later itīs still working quite satisfactory!
