I nominate this photo. Nice composition, nice colours. The line and movement on the road leads the eye into the scene.

Red Deer Sunset

Walking home through the dunes at sunset this small deer jumped across the path just in front of me. I managed to take one shot exactly when it disappeared over the edge of the dunes next to the path.

Yes I posted photos of it in the gearporn thread but only with the two Xenars. Only got the other two lenses recently.

I didn't try the tape trick yet but I will give it a try one of these days.

It is a very nice camera to use, big bright viewfinder, clear pop-up frame lines, automatic paralax correction. The rangefinder spot is a little bit harder to focus than the Retina IIa I have though.

I finally took it out for some shooting after cleaning the rangefinder/viewfinder and finding a Schneider Xenon 50/1.9 and a Curtagon 35/2.8 for it to add to the 135/4 Tele Xenar and 50/2.8 Xenar it came with.

Sorry for the late reply (been busy over the chrismas holiday) and thanks for all the useful info!

Still checking info, reviews, sample shots etc. but this is my current list of interest

Voigtlander Nokton 50/1.5 (I really like the sample shots from the old pre Cosina Nokton with the wild swirly bokeh but it's hard to find, the samples from the new Cosina version look very nice too though).
Zeiss ZM Biogon 35/2
Voigtlander 35/1.2
Voigtlander Snapshot Skopar 25/4
Voigtlander Heliar Super Wide 12mm or 15mm

Leica M2, M3, M4, M5 or M6 (not sure about the M3 because of the missing 35mm frame lines)

Nice!

I'm thinking about getting a Leica M or Bessa R body this year but right now I'm thinking more about glass...
What Leica M mount lens would you buy if you had a maximum of 1000$/750Euro to spend?

Lens would be used on a Leica M mount body and a NEX for digital so I,m thinking either a 35mm or 50mm, would prefer a 35mm I think.
Considering a used Voigtlander 35/1.2 Right now

Bronica SQ-A, Zenzanon S 105mm f/3.5, Kodak Ektar, 645 Back (I'm not a big Ektar fan but with this yellow low winter light it's not bad).

I sold my Zenzanon PS 150mm to get this Zenzanon S 105mm. I like the focal length more for general shooting, it focusses much closer and has nicer bokeh.
From the info around the web apparently this is one of the nicest lenses built for the SQ system and a great portrait lens.
I still have to try it for portraits but I have to agree it's a very nice lens form the little bit that I've used it.

And one turned into b+w in pp

They are great feeling camera's, very heavy and , very nicely built (how reliable they are mechanically I'm not sure).

Both are in mint condition and both are in fact the same body but the finders can be exchanged, they also produced a waist level finder for these camera's.

The lenses are excellent cosmetically and mechanically. One of the bodies is in excellent working condition, the other has a sluggish shutter and the normal prism finder has some deterioration to the edge of the prism (will have to open it up to see what the problem is exactly).
I haven't tested the light meter yet because I don't have a battery that fits.

Nice, I like the first one, very atmospheric.
I've been looking for a Canon 7 or 7s but they're not easy to find for a reasonable price. How does the Canon handle?

Has it, that would be a pity.
Anyway, Macodirect still sells it, and there seems to be still plenty of stock floating around in various places.

The Retina IIIs has frame lines for all the lenses from 35mm to 135mm which come up in the viewfinder when you switch lenses. The 28mm needs an accesory finder though. :)

Yes it is a really nice camera, better than I expected when I bought it.

Nice work, they look gorgeous.

Salut to you too Jean :)

Here's an early Sinterklaas present from my girlfriend (in The Netherlands the traditional day to give gifts is on the evening of the 5th of December or morning of the 6th, it's called Sinterklaas on which Santa Claus was loosely based).
