I am known to be the under dog user. Pentax and Olympus are my picks over Canon and Nikon. I owned the E620. It is a fantastic little body. I can honestly say the Zuiko glass is a lot better than Pentax. However, no matter how good a glass you have, the body will hunt at times when indoors. I rarely had this problem with my K10D. Hope this helps :)
Shot 300mm hand held (600mm on 35mm format) E620 w/ 70-300mm Zuiko Both can be had at roughly ~$650. Not a bad deal considering it is very light to carry over your standard APSC lens with equal range. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2771/4516733537_26fe7880c2_o.jpg |

I miss it in the sense that I did not have to fully tilt my camera body. The down time for me in negligible, but depending on your demand it could be costly.

A mode will be the most used. Photograph the same thing with a tripod. Change the numbers in A mode. When I started I did this for a while. It gave me a basic understanding of what I wanted in my photographs. Enjoy your purchase :)

I wont say I hate my Canon 7D. When it comes to deliver it does all that and much more. The 8FPS is amazing, and shooting sports has never been this easy for me. However, try carrying it for a whole day as an everyday shooter... yea... :hmm: I'm thinking about getting a Kx for my normal pictures, and only use the 7D for when I need it.
I sold all my gear, but I did keep my DA* 16-50mm. It was my first high end glass, and I wanted to keep it as a memory.
Is the Kx really that small? I'm going out tomorrow after class to play around with one. My biggest concern is that it takes AA batteries?
If any Kx owner does not mind to chime, please let me know what you think so far.
O yea and I am aware Canon has a small DSLR, but the Rebel is absolutely horrible! It feels like a kids play toy in your hand. :p

Nice shots unixrevolution! :) But yes you are right about the FA 100MM being a better macro lens.

Sigma 28-80MM w/Macro Asking Price
35 Shipped - Price Reduced Shipping Destinations
Worldwide Item Description
This lens served me well when I could not afford a macro lens. I mainly used it for shooting reef tanks. (Not an easy thing to shoot) Time after time I would get asked what glass was I using. It would surprise people to know I was not using a 1:1 macro.
Comparing it to the kit 18-55mm I'd say its pretty much on par. The only advantage is the extra reach, and like mentioned the macro feature on this lens works pretty well.
I have all original accessories for it. (Box, papers, caps, etc.)
Higher Resolution images and an example picture that I personally took with this lens can be found in my flickr. Thanks -Joe Flickr: Joe (Rhizo)'s Photostream Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

Vivitar 135MM Prime Asking Price
60 Shipped Shipping Destinations
Worldwide Item Description
I am the second owner of this lens. I picked it up about a year ago from a member of this forum.
It has served me very well. It is very solid, and honestly one of the best old glass I've owned. Focusing is smooth, and I like the built in hood. It has a sort of velvety surrounding that makes it easy to slide up or down. I don't have the original box, but it does come with all original caps.
Higher Resolution images and an example picture that I personally took with this lens can be found in my flickr. Thanks -Joe
*Note* I dont know what the yellow sticker on the hood is for, but I never took it off. I'll let the buyer take it off if they decide its visually unpleasing. Flickr: Joe (Rhizo)'s Photostream Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
Pentax FAJ 18-35MM Asking Price
85 Shipped Shipping Destinations
Worldwide Item Description
Here is a very clean copy of a Pentax FAJ 18-35mm lens. It does fit FF bodies, and would be a steal if Pentax ever went FF.
I used it for indoors and portraits when I had to. For me it was a bit more sharper than my 18-55mm kit lens, but of coarse its just my personal opinion on it.
I have all original accessories for it. (Box, papers, caps, etc.)

I can agree to that. I was amazed at the shots I was missing with my K10D. Not saying Pentax is bad at all, but the 7D felt and performed every bit as I hoped it would.

Amen! I'd dump a good load to pick up primes I really need now.
Looks like you guys have it even harder though. More money of top of the already price hike.
I could see why Pentax bumped the prices. They are still lower by a bit compared to Canon, Nikon, etc. The difference is they have better body selections. I think Pentax would greatly benefit if they offered a body with high FPS for us sports shooters. Canons 7D looks pretty darn good to take a good shot at replicating IMHO. The K-7 sort of compares with the 50D.

I'm sure this is nothing new, but boy have the lens prices gone up!
I wanted to pick up a FA 50mm $150 last time I checked? Now $400 big ones Ouch! Talk about Pentax being a good hobby choice :ugh:. I have not spent much time internet searching as you can tell.
Is there any talk about them coming down? I love Pentax because it did not impact much when tuition time came, but IDK about this....

Seriously!!! When DID I SAY anything in regards to their beliefs?
Whats pretty ignorant is you rambling about about topics I covered in my posts. I stand by all that I said. You all keep mentioning I waist their time. Let me get this straight.
You think I want to be placed on hold endless amount of hours... keep explaining the simple situation... having the reps tell me the same exact BS... Hmm yea I'm sure every customer enjoys that. Heck as much crap Ritz or Wolf Camera receive the few times I stepped foot in those stores the service was so much better with no hassles. Like I said $30 not a huge deal, and was not worth my time fighting for.
If B&H does not want their time "waisted" perhaps they should hire a better staff? O yea but it is the customer who has to the staffs crap right????
I'm done.... See this thread how you want to.
