Does anyone know if Pentax will have a presence at Shutterfest 2019 in Saint Louis?

I am going to be heading to a cruise in the orient that may include Japan. Is there any advantage or disadvantage to buying new Pentax or Sigma items over there? Are prices any lower over there than in the US?

Thanks, I will post larger next time. Another visitor to the garden mentioned they were some kind of carpenter bee. The bees had absolutely no interest in either my wife nor myself.

marcdsgn, I will try a fresh set of standard batteries and see if that helps.
raz-o, I think you have the answer. Unfortunatley, when buying online, those details are not made clear before the purchase is made.
Oh - well, live and learn.

I have a Cactus wireless shutter release that works great with my K10. I have also purchase a set of Cactus V2S wireless flash triggers for my Vivitar 285HV that also work great with my K10.
The problem is they don't work great if I use them at the same time. Without changing any setting on the camera the following results occur.
Approximately every 3rd shot does not fire the flash units. When they do trigger, then about every other picture is completely black.
I can use the shutter release on the camera and the flash triggers work everytime and every picture is taken correctly. I can even use a wired remote shutter release instead of the wireless unit and every picutres turns out great. However, when I use both the wireless shutter release and the wireless flash triggers I get poor results.
Yes, I have changes the chanels on the wireless shutter release several times and still get the poor performance.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Both the t-ring and cadapter are Bushnell items. The t-ring is for the pentax K moun. It appears that Bushnell makes only one adapter for the 1.25" eyepiece and does not specify any specific model telescope that they sell.
However, it does sound like the length of the tube may be wrong. However there is no way to change this.
Thanks for the help.

I am trying to use my K10 with my Bushnell telescope. I purchased a T-ring and an adapter which appear to fit both. However, I cannot get anything to focus in the view finder of the k10 when everything is installed. Yes, I am in manual focus setting on the k10. If I replace the camera/adapter with a normal eyepiece, the telscope will focus without a problem. So what am I doing wrong?
Is there supposed to be any glass in the addapter? The t-ring and adapter are just a hollow tube.

Thanks for the great responses. I will take a look at each one the suggestions. It may be a difficult choice since several appear to fit my needs.

I am looking for opions on which online album service is the best.
Here is the background:
1. I am an amatuer and not looking for income from picture sales.
2. I shoot a lot of amatuer events where participants, parents, relatives would like to see, purchase or download the pictures of their special person.
3. The URL of the album needs to be linkable from the website of the sponsoring organization. (e.g click on this link to see pictures of the event).
Preferences:
1. The albums can be set to public so anyone at anytime can veiw them.
2. I would prefer a site that does not require everyone to register just to view the album.
3. The site needs to have reasonable charges for printing and shipping photos to viewers that want prints.
4. The albums never expire and there is no limit to the amount of storage space.
5. As mentined above, the site allows downloads of the digital files.
Any idea?

I know this might be a silly question but I will ask anyway. Did you loosen the security lock that holds the flash to the camera?

Which Promaster cord works. It appears that a couple of them may fit the need, however, the PR8179 specifically says Pentax.
I am using the K10 with the 540 flash and want to make sure the cord still alows the flash to fully communicate with the camera.

I do not understand. If the K10 is optical why is there a flash setting for wireless? What does this setting do?
I thought optical indicated that the remote flash slave used the light from another flash to trip the trigger. This could be done by using the onboard flash as the triggering flash. Therefore, there is no need for a wireless setting inside the camera.

Yes, those are god options. Does anyone know of a remote slave module that will trigger off the wireless RF already build into the K10?
Pentax sells at least tow external flash units that use this signal.

I have a very old Vivitar 283 that I used with my old 35mm camera. Is it possible to use this as a remote wireless flash with the K10D as the trigger? If so how?
I cannot find any wireless slaves that appear to be Pentax RF compatable.
