So I finally sent in my K5 to have the Lens release button fixed... Pentax Canada had it back to me 1 week after they received it... Kudos Pentax Canada!

Work-flow my A$$. Using programs like Lightroom or PS is very format agnostic. It takes ZERO effort to load in and work on a PEF compared to NEF or whatever those other guys use. That's an excuse brand-snobs use. They figure you can't get professional results from other brands so they use the "workflow" excuse. Doesn't wash with me.

I don't know how Pentax's pricing strategy is a good thing for them... sure they get their stuff in a few large-box retailers now but who's going to pay these prices? They SHOULD have lowered the MSRP at the same time, which should have gotten their product out there and lessened the blow to us. I bought into Pentax because of value. Back when I bought into the brand, Canon and Nikon would have been bigger contenders if the pricing was closer like it is now. They're only screwing themselves in the long run.

Am I missing something with Lightroom 4? Its slower than mud on my system, where-as 3.6 was "ok". I'm waiting several seconds for redraws after adjusting faders and 100% zooms seem to never show. Checking Task Manager shows very little CPU being used, so what could be up?
