The first two were taken while on recent trip to Chicago. I love how the colours turned out in the shots with minimal PP..

Next two were taken back home in Toronto, with the first showing some sweet bokeh and the second one just has a slightly creepy feel to it..

Cross-posted from another thread discussing panorama technique.

I rarely go back and re-work old photos but I recently did so with this one from 2 years ago because when I originally saw the scene, I knew it was stunning but after shooting the series of photos for the panorama, I was somewhat disappointed with the results. My post-processing skills at the time were not quite enough to bring it alive but now that I've re-pp'd and stitched this, I am happy with the results. There's a massive amount of detail in the full size version.

I have very minimal experience with fashion/glamour photography but recently have been exploring the genre a little bit. This was shot at home on a thunder grey seamless paper backdrop; lighting is in a clamshell configuration, key light is an AB800 with a gridded softbox boomed overhead plus a silver reflector below for fill. I would have liked to use an octabox or beauty dish instead for a more circular catch-light but I'm borrowing the lighting gear from a friend so I'll take whatever I can get my hands on. :)

Recently I've been re-editing some of my older photos and the photo above was one of my favourites from a trip to Budapest, Hungary, 2 years ago. A bit of editing goes a long way I think.

The above is Gellert Hill, also in Budapest. Perhaps I went too far with the editing this time and it's a bit over the top! But I still like the added drama. :)

We created this photo at the end of their wedding reception.. it was a shot that I had thought about for months prior to their wedding. Ambient light + a wirelessly triggered speedlight to separate the couple from the background. I wish it was less cloudy so that the stars and the mountains would be more visible but we only had this one chance. Still a pretty epic photo for the couple imho:

Thanks guys. I've programmed the multiple-exposure function into my Nikon's My Menu for quick access to the function, otherwise I would have to menu dive to get to it. Will definitely be trying some more double exposures.

The following are some photos from High Park, Toronto:

Thanks Jacquot for reviving this thread.. I forgot about it. :)

One of my first and favourite memories of Paris was walking along the Seine and seeing beautiful scenes such as this:

Some photos from a recent wedding. I have a lot of favourite moments and photos from the day, these are just a select few:

If you aren't familiar with Chinese weddings, there are usually a number of door games (ie. tests) for the groom and groomsmen to perform in order to pickup the bride. A groomsman is trying to get the pacifier into his mouth without using his hands.

I usually try to time things with 1 shot but I missed the exact moment of the mother-of-the-bride wiping her tears. I still like the image though I probably should have used more of a burst of shots.

With not much time to do portraits, we did a series of photos on the banquet hall's staircase. Simple lighting setup with an off-camera SB-900 w/ 1/4 CTO gel, triggered via CLS, and firing through a small softbox on a lightstand (held by my assistant).

A touch up for makeup and hair. Perhaps not the best composition, the makeup artist still appreciated the photo. Maybe the bride was updating her Facebook status to 'married'?

I have a 90mm macro so with this shot, I didn't have to be right up in her face. I used manual focusing to get the tips of the lashes in focus.. the bright FF viewfinder helps with that.

There's a particular Chinese wedding banquet caterer who does most of these wedding banquets.. I think this show is a staple part of the presentation as I've seen it multiple times.

The bride had a wardrobe change into a traditional dress. She looked beautiful all day.

This time I got the mother of the bride wiping her tears but the father of the bride is the focus.. taken during the bride's speech.

The couple's first dance. Notice a different dress on the bride again.

More from Paris:

Pantheon Panorama.. I don't have a proper UWA lens so I tend to try and do panos when I want something wide. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. This one turned out ok I think.

The view outside our apartment rental faced Gare d'Austerlitz. Very convenient location but the metro passing by was pretty loud!

Left: One of the big clocks in the Musee D'Orsay. Right: Gare Montparnasse.. obviously a train station with so many rail lines running towards it.

Sunset over Paris. No monuments to be seen in this direction!

Left: Pedestrian-only street full of bistros. A friend said it reminds her of Van Gogh's "Cafe Terrace at Night". Right: Part of the park at Chateau de Versailles.

La Conciergerie.. originally a royal palace but eventually converted to a prison.

Some different views of the Eiffel Tower:

Eiffel Tower reflected in the glass of the Palais de Chaillot.

View from the Champ de Mars.

Carrousel du Paris. I didn't bring a tripod on my trip otherwise I would have used a longer exposure.. this was at 1/30 sec handheld.

Paris panorama.

Last two photos were taken from the Montparnasse Tower's rooftop observation deck. I quite enjoyed the view from up there!

I was in Paris and Rome recently and have been going over some of my trip photos. I noticed I took quite a number of photos of staircases (plus a few escalators). The following were all processed and converted to b&w in LR except the last one of the Vatican Museum staircase - it was stitched from 6 photos and given a b&w treatment in Photoshop and Silver Efex.
