I bought a new Pentax Mark3,III I was just like a kid at x-mas. Started with a Pentax 18-135. lens. Pictures were ok focus was soft. I readied that's a problem with this camera. So I looked up the soft wear update mine was 1.52 . Now this is a problem. Thanks to Asurion I called Pentax some how got a real person. . There is no soft wear 1.52 how ever there is Ver:1.00/ 1.01/ 1.02 / 1.10/ 1.20/ 1.21/ 1.31/ 1.41 / 1.50 / 1.60 / 1.70/ 1.80 / 2.00 / 2.01 / 2.10/ 2.11 → 2.12 . So if anyone has ver,1.52 you may try to download the update soft wear. The sad part you can't update this as the camera doesn't see the update. So I mailed it back to Pentax I still have my K-70 in fact two K-70.

You can't update the soft wear if your Mark3 III has ver 1.52. The Soft focus just made me look up my new camera soft wear and I found this problem.

I have a K-70 which I really enjoyed. I was out shooting, got all excited with some water fowl. I think I must have aliened my 55-300 somehow off a little . Then corrected it .The next shot the shutter button when I made the shot the shutter didn't come up. Now if I put a older lens on this camera it seems to work but the focus seems off.. So it seems broke how could I fix this or who could.

I bought a Pentax 18/135 zoom lens. A very nice walk around lens. Now the strange part I was shooting fall colors when I push the button down it stayed down. It took a while when the picture appeared on the screen with a MF in the corner. I checked the lens buttons to see if some film or dirt got in. Tried another shot this failed, power never turn off with the picture. Changed len's to my fish eye this worked fine. Put the 18-135 back on button stays down power stays on picture out of wack. MF in the corner. Tried shooting in MF picture works no zoom its in manual camera is very slow with picture coming on the screen. Again changed to fish eye everything works great. The18-135 now just doesn't work, no focus an button stay down. Could this be focus dragging the system down? Never had this one before.
