I have the 3.5" plate on my DA300F4 it has single slot that is 2.5 inches long and the plate is 9mm thick. These plates are available at Henrys.

You could check out the Jobu Surefoot NX4 7" it could be what you are looking for. Surefoot NX4 - 7.0"

If you can did you have a look underneath the bubble level, you may find an attachment screw there, just wondering.

Go to an outdoor store like Cabellas and try a number of different styles on and get the ones that feel the best, and have what you need in a shoe (waterproof, breathability, shoe, boot, etc. )

Just put two tripod legs behind the top strap of the tripod holder and this will stop it from sliding out the bottom

I use the Deluxe Belt ProStrap, I've had mine for 8 yrs still looks new & works great. It is strong enough I am not worried about letting my hang from it. It can be seen here. Deluxe Belt ProStrap

Kirk Photo makes the Fat Bag, it can be bought filled or empty. I have one and it is very well made. I bought it empty and filled it with styrofoam beads so it is very light but still gives good support.

I have these also about 9 of them. I always bake them for the full 3 hours and they last about a month - 6 weeks in a closed camera bag. I have 2 in my everyday camera bag and the last about 3-4 weeks too.
These Silica packs are also available at Lee Valley tools and on ebay.

I saw a LX strap on ebay that looks like it includes the lugs, search Pentax LX if you haven't found some already

I have used one of these straps since getting my K10 camera and I still use the same strap on my K5. here is a link to the one I have it works well and still looks new. Deluxe Belt ProStrap

If you check out the product video on the Lowepro website, it shows a shot of the insert in use. The insert is used to support the front of the camera when using a smaller lens when placed in the center section of the backpack.

I use a Prostrap wrist strap attached to the QR plate on my K7, I've had this stap for 5 years now and it is showing no signs of wear. Check out Prostrap.com
